Everybody sayin there's no point of getting an Xbox One cause they might as well get a PC either ain't seeing the bigger picture or don't wanna see it. PC gaming on a high level ain't for casuals. It can be REALLY annoying and take alot of money and troubleshooting. It takes patience and alot of people aren't. They want instant gratification. Simple put PC gaming isn't for everybody. And never will be.
This 100%. People don't know the difficulties with high end systems. shyt can be real annoying and stressful. Plus this recommending a 980ti at 1080p (:damn:) is already taking away 95% of the PC gaming community. Sli, thousands of dollars and hours upon hours of tweaking isn't for most gamers. PC gaming isn't for the weak. Sometimes it pisses me off so much I wanna go console only. And my Titan Xs aren't even keeping up with recent releases at all ultra 60fps at 1440p (ROTR recently), and that's $2k in graphics cards alone. I'll be updating my cards when the new Pascal cards come out. That's another $2k probably. shyt can get real expensive at the highest levels. The average gamer ain't fukking with that. They'd rather spend $700 on both systems and have a plug and play setup with all the games. I just like amazing graphics and above 1080p resolutions. I'm stuck in that phase and will be for the foreseeable future. 99% off gamers aren't gonna do that. They'd rather have easy plug and play console experiences. And I can completely understand that. They can save time, money, and stress. :yeshrug:

:mjlol: i don't think you understand what you're talking about. At all.

If someone wanted to play xbox exclusives they had to buy an xbox. Now they don't. They literally just ate into their own market which in itself is a huge indictment on xbox one as a system and how microsoft feels about it.

They've now successfully devalued their system. What advantages are there to buying an xbox one? Best specs on console? Nope. Exclusive games? Nope.

If you have a gaming PC,their is now 0 value in buying an xbox one. 0.

Gamers on pc isn't some niche market. Word to @itsyoung!! Gaming on high levels on pc aint for everbody. But an xbox one equivalent specs on pc isnt fukking high end so that comment is misplaced at best.

This move is a slap in the face to xbox one owners. The only reason to buy a one over a ps4 is exclusives. Now that reason is gone.

Xbox one is going to go down in history as one of the most mismanaged consoles in gaming history.

Watch their sales crumble over the next 2 years and they will finish the gen with less than 40 million sold, less than half of the 360.

This move literally only benefits PC gamers now they don't have to waste their money on the console.

All you guys keep saying bigger picture but can't actually describe what the bigger picture is because there isn't one.

The bigger picture is xbox one is a failure and theyre trying to recoup more money from the AAA games they have in the pipeline by allowing them on PC.
:what: nikka I know EXACTLY what im talking about. Im a PC gamer and a console gamer. I have all Consoles plus a PC. nikka. The shyt ain't the same market. People who have an Xbox One ain't gonna automatically wanna grab up a gaming rig especially when they factor in everything that comes with it. End of the day these people wanna pick up and play. It may eat into the market for the people who are willing to deal with that but shyt they more than likely would've picked up a gaming PC already. PC gaming has been more powerful graphic and performance wise for years. nikkas was still rockin wit Xbox 360 and PS3 without a care in the world. They damn sure ain't bout to put down they X1. It should only effect the on the fence customers like @Fatboi1 said.

I think M$ needs shyt like this way more than PS. Playstation is selling consoles like crazy worldwide. Xbox only strong somewhat in the US and Sony is still bigger over here nowadays. Better they get more sales on their ecosystem than to put a potentially good game on a platform where there's less people than teh competition.

So I guess we are just ignoring the literal millions of pc gamers who now have 0 reason to buy an xbox one.

Again. Stop saying "bigger picture" and actually make a point here. Whats the alleged bigger picture by eliminating the need for millions of people to buy your flagship product.

How do this move benefit the xbox as a brand. Elaborate.

There's a reason 90% of this board is console only. Just saying :yeshrug:

And most of the PC gamers have mid range setups. This game is for the highest of the high.

nikka do u see them recommended specs? Lol. If them millions of people who have a gaming rig with that setup ain't buy an Xbox One by now they prolly don't want it. shyt. nikka I have a nice rig and I had to turn around and buy Batman Arkham Knight on console cause the shyt ran atrocious on PC. Im gonna have to double dip on Mortal Kombat X and cop the XL version for PS4 cause the PC version was so fukked up they not even giving it further support. And I bought the Premium Edition. shyt was like a spit in the face. What if this game comes out and runs like shyt on most rigs? There was plenty of reason this gen so far to cop the console version over the PC version. And stability was one of em. And I'm telling u this as a nikka who LOVES his gaming rig.

Rise of the tomb raider sold 430K on steam its first month. Thats almost double what it sold on xbox one in its first month on xbox one.

I dont know why you guys are pretending pc is some niche market that can't stack up against console and theirs no overlap.

Considering both of you have pcs and the consoles and will be buying the fukking xbox one games on pc :dead:

You're not familiar with PC gaming specs. A 980ti is $650 alone and the second best gpu you can buy. For that to be the recommended specs is crazy. Like for real crazy. You gotta have like a $2K+ system to run this at the recommended specs. That's just recommended. If you want 60fps or 1440p/4K you're looking at a lot more. PC specs are going crazier and crazier recently. ROTR required 7-10gb of VRAM to run at very high, and only one card can do that without stuttering, the Titan X (and that's a $1K card by itself). This game's specs are crazy. Most people on here have 970s or mid range AMD cards. How's this game gonna run for them?

You said yourself in this very thread youre looking at your purchase of an xbox one as funny in the light.

And youre proving my point. You are saying you needed a high end pc for tomb raider yet it still sold better on pc. So what does that tell you.

And again, you guys still havent explained how having millions of people on pc having no reason to purchase a one benefits the xbox one.

You keep talking about hownhigh end your pcs are and skipping over this question for some reason.

If you knew this would happen would you have still purchased your xbox? Youve said yourself the only reason you cop consoles is for the exclusives.

You are not a unique snowflake,pc gamers is a huge demographic.

The bigger picture im talking about is fooling these casuals into thinking they can just "cop a gaming rig". Its leading them in the wrong direction. The bigger picture is Microsoft seeing a bigger return on their product.
Uhhh isnt that pretty much the entire point of the steam machines to entice console gamers to just go cop a gaming rig thats already set up?

The only picture being painted is that microsoft is cutting their losses and xbox one is a failed system thats now been devalued.

we don't know what recommend specs mean for QB.yet. for all we know this is probably higher fidelity visual fx rendered at 1440P/4K 60fps.
