Maybe it’s me but lebrons greatest weakness is his lack of “handles” or off the dribble iso moves.

he got better at his jumpshot and post game :manny:

but as the so called GOAT can he have trash handles:jbhmm:

or did he just lose them along the way. :patrice:

I remember young lebron having some decent dribbling abilities. :hubie:
Damn he got abused

Handles is something fans mention ONLY when someone is great at it.

It's easy for people to point to Iverson or Kyrie and say they have great handles.
But nobody is capable of identifying players who have average or poor handles. Right? I mean let's all agree that Lebron's handles are not elite. But compared to whom? Khris Middleton? Royce O'Neal? Kelly Oubre? Nobody has ever watched a Jazz game and pondered Bojan Bogdanovic’s handles. It's just such an oddly unique skill that people mention in regards to a tiny group of players historically.

Candidly, it's something that hardly matters at the NBA level because more often than not, footwork is what is going to allow players to create their shots. Not their dribble.

Lebron was nicer with handle when he was younger. He had crosses, hesis and in and out, and that spin move but as he got bigger, he definitely got away from that. Basically as soon as he went to Miami. Especially with 1st step and strength being so elite. Didn't need to use it, you see flashes of the old handle sometimes but it's definitely stiff and more robotic now. He was never Kyrie or someone like that but he had a good enough handle

For his size he does. Not in contrast to nikkas with real handles like the PGs.

I think lebron Just dribbles too high and stiff now.

I agree on the footwork part

but most nba players today got nice handles even centers will surprise you

it’s kind of you either got it or you don’t regardless of position

then there’s legendary handles like kyrie, Iverson, Jamal Crawford, cp3, Curry etc.... who shouldn’t be compared the rest

No which is why he lacks grace and finesse in his game. It's crazy because Lebron actually has touch going to the basket
