Question: do you miss blockbuster?

I actually did love those royal rumble games on SNES though

those were aight, but I'm specifically talking NES games.

3rd party NES games had no quality control back in the day.

If it was a game with saves they always had a save right before the final boss, it was great.


Just relying on game art had me sometimes playing the shyttiest games ever made...and still enjoying it

I miss that feeling when pops said "we goin to Blockbuster" . Thats it. Absolutely do not miss the movie you want being gone or having to cram all your viewings into a weekend and then rewind that shyt and then make sure you return it on time. My kids get that same when a movie is available to watch at the crib.

Got mad memories of games I rented from Blockbuster, but nah.

I remember going to blockbuster with the homies, dead set on playing MK all weekend. Show up and shyt was all rented out, had to settle for World Heroes

....depending on the version of mk thats not a bad deal.

I did not have fun with this game. Cover is flames tho

My score was 92- 4.
When I finished they did not even have any records or any of that before my score. The worker and manager called into corporate and got it approved for highest score. Any store with records was made after mine . I was the first and they showed all the scores after that. No one beat the computer with a score of two. To say they played better. I averaged two quarters of perfect basketball and played three quarters of perfect basketball.


All that other shyt anybody had was participation. They could have had other people who scored a lot of points. I did it given the rules from the brochure and how the employee set it up.

Plus i remember my score to this day.


Sohh all the rest of the games i was like whatever in. For nba jams. I trained for that and did what i set out to do. Which was play the best game of nba jams possible in what i felt was recorded history.
As who believes blockbuster would go out of business.
at that point in time.

1.) I scored over 100 I don't remember what the CPU had but it couldn't have been much for me to score that much

As for you not caring about the other games, that would explain why you didn't win your store
Because it was a combination of scores from all 3 games. And those were at the time my 3 favorite games so I cleaned up.
And all I I know is when I got to regionals, the staff at the event was hyping me up and was informed me I had the highest score on the east coast

Now you saying you had the highest score in NBA JAM, that couldn't even be verified after you finish because the event didn't end after YOUR GAME.
And in 1993 information wasn't zip zow zooming like that my G, double/triple OG
I do believe you accomplished what you saying. My nikka Air dog was locking nikkaz down left n right as well

I wouldn’t take it over the freedom I have to watch whatever I want easily now but it was a good memory as a kid and it’d probably be a cool experience now as an adult.
