:jbhmm:are you 100% sure he wrote all of these tracks though????
there is NOTHING you say that'll convince me that he wrote the majority of his stuff. and i think you feel vice versa.
the difference though is, that there is evidence out there proving that he does not write - i've heard the reference tracks!!
:manny:he is a fraud in my eyes

There's also evidence that he has written, for himself and others. So all we know for sure is he has had writers for some recent raps/songs

This is like assuming no singers write at all because most have had at least a few songs written for them.

It's like saying Kanye has never write because we know the same.

No there isn't :russ:

These songs Drake 'wrote' for other people could be penned in the tent. Similar to how producers have ghostproducers under them and will attach their name to the beat to get a bigger cheque.

What makes a great rapper in your opinion?

His delivery is versatile. Dude can actually rap. When you listen to the QM references vs the actual Drake records you hear the difference in who brings the records to life vs who just brings the records.

It's almost the difference between two actors auditioning for a role. One may look the part and read the lines while the other brings the image of what they're portraying to life.

The emotion he evokes in his records.

The blend of hip hop & R&B. He makes feel good music that you can chill with your girl with...

His ability to jump on other artists records from different regions and adopt their rhyme patterns and flow.. Jumpman is just :wow:

He's a dope artist man.. I understand he isn't KRS One or Ice Cube but hes dope in his own right

Receipts? Plus check the edit on my last post

See Kanye. If you're gonna go down the road of... Oh but Drake could've had the bars ghostwritten before hand and then came to the session with the ghost written bars memorised ( :dead: ) the discussion is just pointless speculation. The facts are that Kanye thanked Drake for coming through to work on and write 30 hours and father stretch my hands.

Even before this came out people were saying 30 hours sounded like some drake shyt in parts.

There a consistent distinctive Drake rapping style. The songs we have confirmed as written don't match that consistent Drake style, they're some experimental ATL rap flows.

His delivery is versatile.

Easy to do when you just mimic other peoples flows already laid out for you :camby:

The blend of hip hop & R&B. He makes feel good music that you can chill with your girl with...
:mjlol: Seriously? They are't his own songs :camby:

His ability to jump on other artists records from different regions and adopt their rhyme patterns and flow..

:dead: So basically his ability to shark other rappers flows, accents and mannerisms.

He's an actor not a rapper.

Ight right lol the MJ example was bad

He isn't the first of last rap artist to use writers. I see the issue from a hip hop standpoint however, he makes great records that are universally/globally loved and when his records come on do you react the same way?

I get that Drake doesn't qualify for who's the best MC and that's not a discussion I'm trying to have with this thread
op breh, let me ask you this.
when you are in a social setting and a song from an artist you don't like comes on, do you go up to the dj and tell him to change the song or when you see a group of people are enjoying themselves to the song that you do not like, do you go to that group and make sure that they know that you do not like that particular song???
what kind of question is this???why is this question being asked for drake only???
why is it so hard for some people to understand that some people do not like drake's music and especially might've been turned off it since some of the snake shyt he does has been revealed???

Kanye said he 'helped' he didn't say he wrote. He did say Future helped writing though iirc :jbhmm:.
So all your post is just speculation. Funny how when we have reference tracks out with Quentin rapping bars Drake spat line for line you stans wanna give Drake the benefit of the doubt and claim he wrote the other verses and did the majority of the work yet you assume his 'help' means he wrote full Ye verses :patrice:

Does Drake have a distinct style? I don't listen to him like that to know. If you never wrote a bar in your life though how can you claim to have a style :patrice:?

I explained everything for context in post one. There is a growing sentiment on the forum of "anti-Drake" but it seems like Coli taboo because when I go out into the world with my "coli' Anti-Drake" lenses it looks as if the hate is really just online taboo. People really enjoy his music. It's only on our forum where I see all the discussions around his integrity/character or lack thereof

buddy music is still poppin....

There's no point in even discussing this. You hate Drake and ain't trying to hear anything besides something that paints Drake negatively and hasn't written a bar in his life :pachaha: you've already said you in real life putting in work to get people off Drake. I don't know why I'm expecting to have a balanced discussion :dead:

this niqqa would have you believe Drake was providing morale support instead of the quite obvious that he wrote  Drake hate so so so strong. Views next month though.

Thanks for proving my point, Kanye never said Drake wrote for him at all, but Future did. Didn't you say that Kanye credits everyone who was in the room with him when songs are made no matter how much or little they did? Drake could of simply said "Nah don't say it like that, say it like this" and that would be considered help. I may hate Drake but you love him :mjlol: so how can you claim to be any more objective than me?

Come on breh. If people around you are supporting something that's wrong, wouldn't you speak up and say something?

Imagine if you were around a bunch of pedophiles and child p got brought up. :scust:
In this case, Drake is child p, and Drake fans are pedophiles.
:dwillhuh:

its not that serious

Nikkaz gonna still bump Kanye
Nikkaz still gonna bump Drake

Hip Hop is about the party originally

Drake and Kanye(albeit their methods are shady) release music that moves that culture so all this anger u see on the coli is not gonna be seen in reality

I just assume most ppl here dont even party or dont even hang with young nikkaz on a consistent basis so they outta touch

I have no problem when his shyt comes on in public, it Pop Music so it's to be expected. His shyt is like cool background music now. As long I'm not forced to listen to his shyt I the car or home I'm good. His shyt was already kinda generic, but it's even more now that I know his shyt is Ghostwritten.....

I love his production though so most of the time that's why I let his shyt ride
