I understand that it's slowly becoming the cool thing to hate son because of all the accusations (some valid some still need proof) but when his music comes in public places (clubs, bars, radio, arenas, festivals etc) do you deny the quality and begin trying to convince others that he is a "fraud" or do you enjoy the music?

Straight up question...

I've really grown to enjoy his music and seldom do I hear anyone throwing him shade offline so I want to know?

I'm not really hyped about "Views From The 6".. I wouldn't be mad if he scrapped that album and came with something fresh but for real.. I want to hear yall's answers

F*ck you mean "accusations"?

Stop with the silly sh*t

Yeah I've turned pretty much everyone I know off Drake :yeshrug:, we may listen to him when we go out but nobody is spending any money on his music or going to his shows anymore.

Man my girl and her friends still love the shyt out of his music.. The brothers I mentor still love his music...

I don't even feel the need to :comeon: them because the music is good...

I get the hip hop heads making sure he isn't viewed (no pun) a certain way moving forward but the brother makes great records
Tbh, I still play his music...he can make hits. However, if anyone was to speak on Drake being a respected MC that's when I got to call him out on his fraud ways

i like a lot of drake's music, but his stans disgust me :scust:

Its like they are a fan of drake himself and the way he looks instead of the actual music, they literally feel like they have to defend everything he does. They take everything so personal like they know drake.:snoop: :mjlol:

It's like these stans lose all common sense while defending him. :russ:

You can like his music and clown and criticize him at the same time, i do that all the time. :yeshrug:

Nah for real though....:dahell:

People ain't trying to discuss music in those social settings. In any capacity. I don't go in on Drake any more than I'd go in on Katy Perry.

There's a time and a place for everything.

I have had a few people ask me about him in random situations, and I tell them he's a fraud. If they ask why I explain. People seem legit crushed by it.

It's crazy how Nicki was exposed for having a ghostwriter and literally no one cared. I get that to her stans she's more "Pop/RnB" but she still claims (on every song/feature) that she's better than most male rappers. :sas2:

Interesting when you think about how Drake & Nicki were the only ones off YMCMB to really blow up. Makes you wonder :lupe:

Tyga was an anomaly :steviej:

That's incredible breh.... Real talk

Fam.. I love how the unity and black power movement was swung back into full effect but uh..... white folks have been loving hip hop... buying hip hop.... supporting hip hop.... and owning (corporatizing) hip hop since it's inception

so what are we saying when we try and grade someone's success or lack thereof by Cacs? You start getting in merky water doing that..
Trends in rap have always been dictated by blacks has nothing to do with some black hotep facade that's just reality you know how many rappers with an immense cac fan base is virtually unknown or cared about by people in Urban areas , on an economical level whites own rap though but that's common knowledge
