I have to admit, ever since the ghostwriting came to light, I've yet to see ppl hate on Drake in reality

Man my girl and her friends still love the shyt out of his music.. The brothers I mentor still love his music...

I don't even feel the need to :comeon: them because the music is good...

I get the hip hop heads making sure he isn't viewed (no pun) a certain way moving forward but the brother makes great records

Ok, what does that do for you? What's the point and purpose?

How does your audience react to the intel?

Makes me feel better about the culture I grew up with. There are elements to it that should be respected and acknowledged.

Ppl don't care, by which I mean they're not offended by me bringing it up.

We usually have a good convo about it and it ends with them removing him from being compared to actual rappers.

My most recent conversation ended with the guy saying he's a great "artist". To which I replied he's a great "performer:ufdup::troll::umad:".

It's just as fun getting ppl emotional over this IRL as it is on the Coli

But even then its credited as Drake, but is it really him? He couldve took those writing credits himself like he did to QM on RICO. Im not saying he didnt write those hits for other ppl but im not gonna rule out that his team of writers couldve possibly done it And he just swiped the credit from them. Like i said its all in question now.

I wana believe he wrote the majority of his shyt but i cant definitively believe that, ya dig?

He would be untouchable had he not outsourced.

Its just funny cuz hes at the peak of his career accomplishing everything he set out to do and more but the one thing he came up priding himself on is now the one thing that may tarnish his legacy in the long run.
Everything hes done from the start is in question.

Come on breh. If people around you are supporting something that's wrong, wouldn't you speak up and say something?

Imagine if you were around a bunch of pedophiles and child p got brought up. :scust:
In this case, Drake is child p, and Drake fans are pedophiles.

I mean if we gettin technical yea. The earliest ghostwriting claim i heard was for his breakout single "Best I Ever Had" cuz Kia Shine was involved in the process. Me being a drake fan i couldnt believe he wrote the verses but maybe just hook. Then it was the nickelus f writteb "I'm Goin In" verse and him asking for bars on twitter (under his og twitter handle "drakkardnoir" or whatever)

What's wrong with good music? If someone said he was a better MC than KRS I would step up and do my duty but that isn't the case..

Come on son you sound crazy that analogy is crazy

The haters will go with Drake doesn't write AT ALL even though he's written for others etc but dude on his Drake rap rap shyt is very good. The QM stuff was just some light shyt in search of some swaggie anthem.

Doesn't Hush have writing credits on all these songs?:patrice:

The fact that the greatest artist of our generation (Kanye West) called Drake in to help write on his most recent album would suggest Drake is still a respected writer amongst his peers too.

The songs Drake we've heard have been written have been on some experimental flow shyt. I think there's still a pattern of the majority of music having Drake sound.

But who knows he may have had some help , the problem is unless there's proof of it I'm just gonna continue to enjoy the music like most people. meh

If I hear somebody wrote Look What You've done for example shyt would amaze me, but 10 bands and know yourself, those experimental ATL songs. Whatever

Weeknd has been pretty clear what he gave Drake. It's nothing shameful at all. Shot For Me, Practice hooks and the features.

RnB writing/ references isn't even an issue. 90% of legendary RnB singers have been given songs and had writers. The issue is rap where it's frowned upon to have bars written

Not to mention.. He's not even tripping off of it so why are we?

Weekend having a better 15/16 than Drake so it hasn't impacted his career negatively

Rnb tracks are not a issue by itself, its common in that genre to have reference tracks and songs written

The problem is if hes getting those gifted and his raps supposedly written by others, then hes basically just an avatar.
