How has that worked for you? Seriously. Let's hear your journey.
Short version -
I started a business when I was 13. I was making a little bit of money and my father freaked out because I wasn't incorporated and I didn't have the proper paperwork. Now he should have taught me because I didn't even know what incorporated meant. But I kept doing what I was doing. In the meantime I would check out library books. I read everything I could on business, laws, marketing, etc. I was always reading and trying stuff out.
Age 18- got my proper paperwork and business bank account.
Eventually I started an ecommerce site. I worked on that all throughout college. Sold it. Opened another business. Didn't like it. It wasn't a good fit for me. Moved on to other ventures. Here I am, 30 years old. So proud that the 13 year old me knew that I would never grow to have an employable personality. That's what it comes down to for me. I am not unpleasant, but I do not have an employable personality. Also, I never wanted my kids to be in daycare. Therefore I need to do what works for me and my overall goals.

Don't know how to explain it, but I always new I wasn't meant to be a worker be. I don't have a 9-5 personality. Everybody I've ever been around picks up on it. A lot of times without me even opening my mouth. It's not unpleasant per se, but I think it can rub a lot of people the wrong way.
