and with all his stats he didnt win shyt till he teamed up with a former finals mvp/scoring champion and another all star starter that avg 24/9 before joinin bronze

avg 17ppg in the finals got outplayed by jason terry :mjlol:

What's this have to do with Lebron being a better passer than Kobe?

Didn't you say Lebron has the ball in his hand 75% of the time?

Tell me why Lebron has the ball less than Kobe does but averages more points, assists, and everything on higher efficiency.

Lebron was losing in the Finals before getting help, Kobe was losing 3-1 leads and missing playoffs.

Tell me why Lebron has just as many FMVPs as the big dog on his team as Kobe but more MVPs.

Tell me why you can only use a single series rather than entire post season runs.

All you proved that Lebron is so good that even OTHER champions recognize his greatness and let him take control of the team because it's the better choice.

:ahh:

So kobe aint a good passer now and dont have good vision smh at people sleeping on kobes all around game
Not when you're comparing him to Lebron. Since Lebron entered the league he has been consistently one of the 5 best passers. Kobe has great passing ability, but he often struggles with balancing it out with his scoring. He used to really struggle finding that balance before he turned 28. He either goes into a playmaking mode or a scoring mode, but he can't do both at the same time like Lebron can.

It's also irrefutable that Durant scores more often and more efficiently than Kobe. Position doesn't matter in this argument. Neither does height.
Kevin Love and Howard suck because they dont have as many assists as CP3

:laff: at nikkas using 2 games as proof of something. 62 in 3 qtrs and 81 are the new "3 rings". :heh: There really are no pleas to cop or viable spin options here. Durant has had to share the ball with Westbrook and still won numerous scoring titles in the process, so the "bu...bu...but Kobe had to share with Shaq" shyt is out the window. Durant is more consistent and efficient scorer with a better outside shot and he's longer (ll). Only thing Kobe has over him are greater outburts, greater peak athleticism, and a post game. If Durant is ever able to develop that post game he might just go down as the GOAT scorer period.

How do yall say a player who's averaged 35.4 ppg in 1 season is less of a scorer than someone who's current career high is 30.1 ppg?:what:

Then yall bring up scoring titles?:dahell:

Kevin Durant won his scoring titles averaging 30.1 ppg, 28.0 ppg, and 27.7 ppg. Kobe has averaged 28.5 ppg, 30.0 ppg, 28.3 ppg, 27.9 ppg in different seasons, which is more than what Kevin Durant has done and STILL did not win the scoring title, because he played in a different era where there were more ball dominant scoring Perimeter players:ufdup:

Hell, he had to average 35.4 to win his 1st one (AI averaged 33.4 ppg that season and finished 2nd):dead:

Kobe came off the bench his first 2 seasons and still has a career ppg of 25.5 after 18 seasons plus he was playing with Shaq from 1997-2004. With Shaq on the Lakers, Kobe had a career average of 21.8 ppg. Without Shaq on the Lakers, Kobe has a career average of 28.5 ppg:mjpls:

How dare yall try to compare Kobe playing with Shaq to Kevin Durant playing with Shaquille O'Neal?:birdman:

Shaquille O'Neal averaged 27 ppg in his 8 seasons on the Lakers alongside Kobe......Russell Westbrook averages 20.0 ppg in his 5 seasons playing alongside Kevin Durant. Not even comparable.

Bottomline, get that bullshyt outta here:camby:

Well for starters...wasn't Kobe playing in each of the seasons Durant won a scoring title? So to bring era and competition up is pretty hollow when you consider that Kobe was playing in his era and providing competition. AND T-Mac won a scoring title avg. 28 ppg while Kobe was around. AI won one avg. 27 while Kobe was around as well.

There is no doubt in my mind that Durant could put up 35 if he took 27 shots per game. He's avg. 32 on 21 shots this year. You telling me it's unreasonable to believe he could get 3 more points on 6 more shots? :usure:.

Russ has attempted 18.1 shots per game the last 4 years. Shaq attempted 17.5 in his last 4 years with Kobe...yeah no comparison. :heh: Not to mention Russ is the PG and actually has the ball in his hands more. Point blank if Kobe was as efficient as Durant he would have easily won some scoring titles with Shaq based on the amount of shots he took. nikkas stay belaboring the Shaq piece as if this nikka Kobe wasn't leading the team in attempts. Kobe put up 22 and 24 attempts in two different seasons with Shaq...Durant has yet to ever do that.

There is no such thing as "if".

Either he does he doesnt......you already know that. We can hypothetical all we want.

And funny that you try and break Shaq's attempts down to just FGA to compare him to Russ:comeon:

Before I even GO to the numbers, you know that Shaq took more shot attempts than Russ:ufdup:

Shaquille O'Neal averaged 19 FGA a game PLUS 11 FTA a game while playing with Kobe.

Russ is at 16 FGA a game plus only 6 FTA a game.

Lets be serious here.

Shaq also had a USG% of 30.9 on the Lakers......as a CENTER. That's higher than any team he's ever been on:dead:

Russ is at 30.0 with Durant as a PG:usure:

Kevin Durant has a USG% of 30.4 alongside Russ, while Kobe had a 28.5% USG with Shaq

So we use totals minus any context when they are convenient huh? :heh:

I clearly stated that the numbers I listed were Kobe's last 4 years with Shaq vs. the last 4 years with KD and Russ.

:laff: at you using those skewed numbers (Kobe's usage rate and attempts are still comparable though :dead:). Well if that's the case the 27.2 that KD's avg (on 19 attempts) for his career with Russ >>>>>>>>> the 21.8 Kobe avg (on 17 attempts) for his career with Shaq. :youngsabo:

All polemics aside, Durant is a more efficient, consistent scorer and has the numbers and hardware to prove it even with another ball dominant teammate AND he's only 25. It's not like I am making this stuff up. :yeshrug:

That's my point.

It's EASIER for Kevin Durant to score like he is when he's playing along somebody he has the ball more than and takes more shots than in Russell Westbrook in comparision to Kobe who played almost half his career in the exact OPPOSITE situation.......which skews his overall numbers.

Again, without Shaq, Kobe is a career 28.5 ppg scorer. With Shaq he's a career 21.8 ppg scorer. Those arent made up stats. Those are actual facts.

Overall, Kevin Durant is a very good scorer, however, I cannot make the statement with a straight face that a player who's averaged 35.4 ppg in a season is less of a scorer than someone who's current career best is 30.1 ppg.

Just doesnt compute:manny:

Kobe had the ball more and took more shots than Shaq for the last 4 seasons they played together. He had a couple seasons with Shaq were he attempted more shots than Durant ever has. Playing with Shaq is no excuse. He didn't score less because of Shaq he scored less because of his inefficiency (in comparison to Durant).

:laff: at KD just being a "very good scorer". Talk about stuff you can't take with a straight face. :dead:

Of course it doesn't compute because you don't want it to. I laid it out pretty thoroughly :manny:
