Idk who that guy is but he's right about Yvette and Tone acting like they invented the wheel. The other night Yvette said there hasn't been a push for reparations in 1000 years :gucci:

Can you even read what I'm saying tho? :usure: I think that'll answer a lot concerning your confusion.

I've been upfront about this. Black American nativism is one thing. I don't think anybody could or would have a problem with that. The anti-Black foreigner slant is the issue. ADOS, to me, seems defined by what it's against rather than what it promotes.

I agree. BUT, I have seen just the co-signing with/for being ADOS and Black Nativist is seen as "anti-foreigner."

What can even be said or done to those who believe this?

Do you think that Black immigrants should rally and fight for their own benefits? Meaning scholarships, loans, etc -- and fight to break away from under the AA/Black label as well?

That way it won't be anymore - in-fighting for so-called benefits that are were initially only for ADOS?

Above the fray.
Very true. But, they still saw themselves as MORE American -- and the real Americans over whites and others. Whether others did -- hey -- that's their issue.

All and all -- ADOS are fundamentally American. And having the Black nativist beliefs in this day and age - is the only way to make sure we directly benefit and are taken care of.

Being under an umbrella of just "Black" or "POC" is harmful.
The choice of Ray Charles' rendition of America is the BEST one. Because Ray Charles was a genius and prime number influence in the history of American music AND because nobody is more fundamentally American than African Americans. This country has never recognized that.

You can hear and feel that history and irony in the song.

I agree with you and ever other person who advocates, promotes, and is concerned about the well being of THEIR group. People who have been consistent about that, will remain consistent. I've been reading your posts about the history of your group and of African people in general since I've been here. Other people and their interest in heritage are perhaps motivated by other factors.

Rainbow coalition, people of color and those umbrella groups are phony labels and are rightfully being called out. "hey, we're all banging against the system, let's link up,with no reciprocity!" HELL NO. "gays are discriminated against just like Blacks" HELL NO "White feminists speak for black women" HELL NO "AAs should use THEIR voice to speak about the plight of Blacks overseas, with no reciprocity" HELL NO

Thanks as always.

I dislike being seen as "xenophobic" and "anti-black immigrants" -- cause really all I am is pro-self love and pro-family -- and that is ADOS. I don't have any ill feelings -- I just don't care to fight for others -- when my people need me.

What can ADOS do to help stop this rhetoric that is being spewed?

And believe me -- it's some of us who truly are anti-Black immigrants - I get that -- and it's either because of a bad experience with one -- and it has tainted them.

I truly believe Black immigrants needs a civil rights movement here -- one were they can curve out their own benefits and issues with the USA. That way the in-fighting would really end.

This is something I touched on elsewhere (can't find it) but ADOS really needs to set boundaries on what is acceptable rhetoric and call shyt out if it's outta line/counter-productive.

For example, in yesterday's thread about an ADOS girl putting Bernie on the spot about reparations, somebody said something like "Fall back Afric00ns and c00nribbeans"-- The thread is about ADOS and Bernie Sanders, neither he or the girl said anything about Africans/Caribbeans so wtf did that have to do with anything??? :dahell: The shyt had at least 20 daps when I last saw though... Surely, I won't see the same people questioning why black nativism is "wrong" or saying "only when it's us" in those daps... Right??? :usure:

There's absolutely nothing wrong with nativism. The problem is when nativism slips to xenophobia and we're too proud too call it out cuz "they started it first" or whatever reason we give to justify it.

Can you read any of what I just said tho??? :patrice:

There's nothing wrong with it- atleast for everyone else. People put their group and country's needs ahead all the time.

It's only when it comes to black americans that we're supposed to be all inclusive and accommodate everyone
I guess it comes from the idea that since we're from the imperialist nation of America we're somehow supposed to:

1. feel like we should help everyone else cuz we're indirectly responsible too in someway
2. we're not supposed to feel connected to america and we aren't really americans.

yet all these people bring their ass over here to become americans and reap our benefits

I remember my grandma used to talk about immigration and its ills in relation to ados and i used to just think she was a wacked out conservative from being in Mississippi and in the army
But no, she just cared about her community.

I literally can not stand at this point when i see black people using the words "black and brown, POC, minorities". Especially when speaking to other black people
That shyt is annoying
**Beware of any person, especially a non-Ados pretending to be Ultra militant about White involvement.
Their's is not a genuine, pure concern, rather a sister BA shaming tactic meant to purposely cause questions, and raise self-doubt on things like opportunity, identity, and acceptance of WS, even when inapplicable!!

I just took you off ignore. My ignore game is strong. I was tired of going back and forth with certain people and/or you are a troll. You must have been one of them.

I agree. Yvette and Tone are feeling themselves. And I predict this will become an issue in the near future.

I can also tell they need a quick refresher on history -- based off some of their comments concerning ADOS.

When you have no power or give the little bit of power u have to others they will abuse it, if u stop theyll get mad cuz they expect u to continue doing it cuz its what they know and i see it all the time at my job. One customer is bytching and crying and the other isnt, theyll take care of the customer bytching first because the calm one is giving power away (i guess i can wait a lil etc.) Even tho the right thing is to take care of the customer who aint whining like a ho

I condemn all usage of Antebellum slurs -- and also calling Africans and Caribbean any types of slurs. It's not cool nor respectable.

But, we have to understand with anything -- there will be a subset of supporters who do things their way and engage in such behavior. There is nothing we can do about it but condemn it -- and ask them not too.

Stop shaming people to be on board for DACA and TPS extensions and there wouldn't be.

I do think many Black immigrants and immigrants in general need to accept this.

I do not support it --- and I won't ever support it. That doesn't make me "xenophobic" or anti-Black immigrant.

xenophobic: having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

It just something I see as harmful to my people and -- we don't benefit from it. I don't dislike them -- nor am I prejudiced against them cause they are from another country. I just don't believe in the policy and I know that it isn't beneficial to my people.

I might be snarky here or there but the only thing I troll about is my mixtape :lawd:

Tone and Yvette have been problematic though. The way they needlessly berate people is a serious character flaw and why I strongly feel the movement needs better leadership than them. The moment Yvette 'deconstructed' Dr. Claude plus the way she rolled her eyes and dismissed a caller's suggestion of reaching out to him the other week (after all the time and money he's put into the fight) proof positive that trouble lies ahead.

So long as we're acknowledging a subset exists on both sides. My point though is that it wasn't called out. It got like 38 daps which shows (for The Coli) at leastthe sentiment is mutual among ADOS supporters-- which is exactly what people mean when they say the movement is being anti-black immigrant

How so? For instance I know that Tone can be a little bit of a stubborn, know-it-all..well both, actually, and need to acknowlede that there's is just the most recent DOS effort to pick up steam...
