Take it easily. I can find another job within the next two weeks no problem. Pay off debt, give myself a month vacation, pocket the remaining 100k :ahh:

$150k TAX FREE is almost like getting $225k in salary.
I'd probably do it unless I had a job that had a crazy equity piece of my compensation (I currently don't have that so I'm quitting)
I'd take the money and just begin looking for another job, if I was a rock star at the current gig you might even be able to boomerang back in a couple of months after traveling the world

That’s a down payment for a rental property and or a great nest egg to put in a savings account. I can find another job in about 2-3 months and just cap that I had a family emergency that needed my full attention when the interviewer asked me why I quit :yeshrug: .

Eh depends on the job.

Like in my field, I can easily get another job....but the working conditions from company to company can vary quite a bit along with the pay.

I'm at $122k base with another 10% for bonus. Benefits are good and cheap and the PTO is solid. Bosses are nice and coworkers are cool. In a bad situation, I'd take the money without a second thought. In my current situation, $150k wouldn't be worth it.

Yeah but then what if you can pay off the house? That by itself puts you 10 - 15 years ahead. Now you got an extra $1500/month disposable income.

Thats not talking about other uses like kids college tuition, any debt, or just investing the entire sum. Whats does $150k look like in the stock market 20 years from now?

Yes, even though I don’t have any hard skills(coding; construction, medical, etc), but $150k tax free cash would be enough to live easily 3 years stress free.

In 3 years, I strongly feel I can learn a skill to replicate the wage, or even surpass the wage I receive from my current job. Plus if I really wanted the money to stretch, I could move to Costa Rica or Turkey and make that $150k last for 4 years.

If someone walked up to you and opened a brief case in front of you like
money-case.gif
with $150k cash and said this is all yours, only thing you have to do is quit your job right now.

Would you? :lupe:

Before you say "that aint enough to quit", most of you nikkas aint got $1k in savings and if u got fired you'd only get unemployement for 6 months.. :heh:

Most of you, especially yall making $40k would be stupid not to do it.

Is this clean money and reported on tax. so i could go to a bank and cd this shyt up?
