I love my job and I'm a proven worker, but with the way shyt is right now I might have to take that 150k right now. Like I've been working here for 7 years, but shyt in my field change so fast, like what if I decline the 150k and get fired next week.

Lol take the money. 150k per year after taxes is like 200k+ before taxes
If you make that already or think you wouldn't be able to find another job paying what you make in under a year or you work a job where you strongly believe you'll be able to level up to that in a year or two then I understand but everybody else? :francis: take the money.

Yeah I'd quit for sure.

That's enough to pay off all my debt, a down payment for a house, etc. And I'd have more than enough to go without work.

Would go full time applying for jobs though.

problem is you can't just deposit $150k without a bunch of questions. never had to wash that much either. if trying to stay legal then taxes come into play and that's a no go.

good liquidity to do something with if i could overcome those issues. otherwise i'll keep grinding.

Feel like it depends on how much you make now.

If you making $50k/year...maybe $75k/year or less, it's an easy choice.

If you make $150k/year already and it's an enjoyable job, the money probably ain't worth it unless you can get the same type of job very quickly.

Somebody making $150k salary are likely in a position where they can easily find another job. That salary means you have experience and good networking.

bruh its 150, not 20 million....deposit $2k every two weeks for things like mortgage/rent, utilities. the rest pay in cash.

You could live very comfortably off $40-50k tax free dollars, take a year off then start looking for work and still have $100k sitting in a high yield savings account.

edited---forgot anything over 10k deposited is flagged by IRS. :damn: gotta be smart with how you move but its doable.
