You work at a dead end job, get crap wage which is just enough to pay your monthly expenses. You can't save money for emergency days. You can't go shopping for nice clothes cause you're broke as a joke. There's no room for advancement, you hate everything about your job. The job affects your mental health. It affects you when you leave to go home and you dread waking up in the morning to go back to work. There's no flexibility, you have no weekends cause you're working. You can't go out late and you can't make long term plans cause the hours fluctuate every week.

But if you quit, you will have no roof over your head. But you've worked there for 3.5 years.

Do you quit or stay?

I've looked for other jobs. I just graduated college and I'm looking for something in my field. It's not happening so far.

I would stick it out if I wasn't here for 3.5 years. And I can't go look for another job in a similar role. I just can't do this job anymore. My job relies on helping customers, and my patience has ran out.

It's to the point where I get angry and irritated and snap at the customers cause I just can't do it anymore. I can't fake a smile and put up a front. It's getting pretty bad.

Okay so youd rather be homeless? Ive had jobs that Ive hated, but not this much so I cant say that I can relate per se, but I think you should think things over a bit more before you jump so quickly to that conclusion. Good luck.

When i was 17 i was a cashier at walmart.

AT one point i would have to take perks just to do my 8 hour shift. And after ton of cac customers kept asking why not smiling.

I snap on this white lady and her mother. At that point i found out i can't deal with cacs or customers.

stay at the shytty job and look for better jobs on the side. then once you have a better job secured, holla @ the shytty job and make salary/flexibility/days off demands. if they say no, then take the new job.

or simply get a better paying job offer, and bounce regardless.

i say look for another job. but do it carefully. had the hr manager at one of my old jobs contact my boss saying i updated my resume on a job site. manager was a cool dude. called me into his office and tried to work with me to find me a job within the company that would make me happy. i lucked out with that situation. but if ur depressed at ur job, i say u start looking for one asap. u cant excel in places where motivation is lacking.
