you don't have to quit though if your college is in the area, now a days most students work and go to school
My job already informed me that they dont do part time schedules. Night school is out the question, because I have my son.

I rather go to school fulltime and get it over with, instead of being in school for the next 10 years as a part time student

My old job said they would take me back, on a fri/sat/sun schedule. Which is perfect since my son is with his dad those days. might take up that offer.

No kids or wife (thankfully) .. But I'm the one that pays the rent at home, plus my own expenses. My brothers and my mom live with me and they help out with some of the bills.

:to:

I feel like such a loser cause people I know have been so successful while I've been rotting away.
First off, stop comparing yourself to others. Second, everyone has their own timeline there is not a set age for everything. You are obviously not complacent since you want better so dont think that youre a loser. At least you have a job, not many can say that. Keep wanting and actually working towards doing better, and youll get there. I sound like such a life coach, but you have to put things in perspective; dont beat yourself and keep looking for solutions.

Already been said but set up another job first. Don't throw yourself in the wind without a parachute breh. Think your mental health sucks now? Quit with nothing else lined up.

I've looked for other jobs. I just graduated college and I'm looking for something in my field. It's not happening so far.

I would stick it out if I wasn't here for 3.5 years. And I can't go look for another job in a similar role. I just can't do this job anymore. My job relies on helping customers, and my patience has ran out.

It's to the point where I get angry and irritated and snap at the customers cause I just can't do it anymore. I can't fake a smile and put up a front. It's getting pretty bad.

if u cant pay your bills and your living under a bridge it will get worse for you

stick it out and hope they fire you and get that unemployment

Cashier also....I work at Pathmark

I can't take all these Cacs cheesing so hard and trust me ur not imagining things and its not a rare incident.....they cheese too hard and all of it is so cringing to me like @World War Z I can't just fake smiles and being some mascot....its annoying when they act that way...

Hate that "u should smile" shyt also......Brothas are the easiest people to deal with(generally)

But to the OP I have been in the same predicamant as you but don't know what to do....I think you should try putting upads on Craigslist saying what your resume, skills, etc are....and say something like "Recent college graduate" to perk them up more

When i was 17 i was a cashier at walmart.

AT one point i would have to take perks just to do my 8 hour shift. And after ton of cac customers kept asking why not smiling.

I snap on this white lady and her mother. At that point i found out i can't deal with cacs or customers.

As everyone has said, you need to stay at your current job until you find a new position. What you can also do is focus on fluffing up your resume. Concentrate on skills that you currently use that are transferable to other opportunities in your field of study. This could include your ability to perform under pressure, customer service skills, interpersonal skills, communication etc. Even more importantly, apply for opportunities that may be slightly above your current skill set. You should also utilize some of the verbiage from the job posting in your resume – most of the time recruiters are searching for keywords and not necessarily reviewing applications or resumes so you want to make sure you catch for your attention. Good luck!

Just called in sick to work. Couldn't go. This is the 3rd time I've called sick this month.

I'm not gonna quit though, I've found out there are "other ways"

Have to see my options and take it from there
