I've looked for other jobs. I just graduated college and I'm looking for something in my field. It's not happening so far.

I would stick it out if I wasn't here for 3.5 years. And I can't go look for another job in a similar role. I just can't do this job anymore. My job relies on helping customers, and my patience has ran out.

It's to the point where I get angry and irritated and snap at the customers cause I just can't do it anymore. I can't fake a smile and put up a front. It's getting pretty bad.

-If you have health insurance you can go out on stress leave or short-term disability and you'll get like 3/4's of your check or something but it's better than nothing an more than unemployment. Go to you doctor and tell him work makes you depressed and you can't manage. They'll prescribe a pill but you don't have to take that shyt.

-Call out a lot and start missing a lot of time and try to get fired. You may still be eligible for unemployment if you can prove your work environment was stressful and causing health problems which is why you were missing the time. Again, get in contact with your doctor so that shyt can be on your file.

-Ask for a leave of absence...just like a month or so. You may not get paid but it gives you a month to look for something else, network and put yourself out there. You just have to be on the grind the entire month long though.

-Leave. If you have a car and decent driving record deliver some pizza or do some lawn work for a few months while you're looking for something else but don't stay in a toxic environment.

You work at a dead end job, get crap wage which is just enough to pay your monthly expenses. You can't save money for emergency days. You can't go shopping for nice clothes cause you're broke as a joke. There's no room for advancement, you hate everything about your job. The job affects your mental health. It affects you when you leave to go home and you dread waking up in the morning to go back to work. There's no flexibility, you have no weekends cause you're working. You can't go out late and you can't make long term plans cause the hours fluctuate every week.

But if you quit, you will have no roof over your head. But you've worked there for 3.5 years.

Do you quit or stay?

:what: quit nikka what the hell

why would you have to go back n forth about a job that doesnt even pay you good?

shouldnt even have to think twice about this one

No kids or wife (thankfully) .. But I'm the one that pays the rent at home, plus my own expenses. My brothers and my mom live with me and they help out with some of the bills.

:to:

I feel like such a loser cause people I know have been so successful while I've been rotting away.

I've had that feeling as well. Buy you need to get rid of that type of mindset asap. Don't worry about what other people are doing, focus on you. And once you said that the job was affecting your mental health, it was time to go.

Like everyone else said, don't quit until you have something else lined up. And while you're at work, don't think about the job (unless it's something that requires focus like driving, etc...) think about things that you enjoy, this will help you get through the day much quicker. Trust me, I do it all the time & it works.

Sorry to hear about troubles breh. 85 percent of Americans hate their job and hate going into work everyday. I would say that you need to find some type of hustle to do on the internet. There's a ton of information and skills you can learn for free if you're willing to really focus. Start with a half hour a day if you can. This year I'm going to learn about marketing...well as soon as I can stop posting in TLR:sadcam:

I like threads like these. I used to be a cashier customer service and it was probably the worst years of my life. I would go on my breaks go to the bathroom and just stare at myself in the mirror like wtf you doing man. Hang in there bro. What is your degree in @World War Z?

if college taught me anything it just def taught me to seperate life from how i was living before. i actually caught a break and was fortunate enough to enroll in college. had no at all ever in my life. my mom was never home. no plans up until the summer after 12th grade last min. it was great meeting people/ or their parents who planned they whole life to go college also. cant take nothin away from them. but to all the brothers in the struggle. if i could back i woulda just hung out at my local library :smh:

so now im ready to quit my job. and now i slowed up on apps cause i have a current case holding me back and i cant even leave the state.

Didn't even read the OP but my automatic response to questions of if someone should quit their job is I tell them to quit.
