I've looked for other jobs. I just graduated college and I'm looking for something in my field. It's not happening so far.
I would stick it out if I wasn't here for 3.5 years. And I can't go look for another job in a similar role. I just can't do this job anymore. My job relies on helping customers, and my patience has ran out.
It's to the point where I get angry and irritated and snap at the customers cause I just can't do it anymore. I can't fake a smile and put up a front. It's getting pretty bad.
-If you have health insurance you can go out on stress leave or short-term disability and you'll get like 3/4's of your check or something but it's better than nothing an more than unemployment. Go to you doctor and tell him work makes you depressed and you can't manage. They'll prescribe a pill but you don't have to take that shyt.
-Call out a lot and start missing a lot of time and try to get fired. You may still be eligible for unemployment if you can prove your work environment was stressful and causing health problems which is why you were missing the time. Again, get in contact with your doctor so that shyt can be on your file.
-Ask for a leave of absence...just like a month or so. You may not get paid but it gives you a month to look for something else, network and put yourself out there. You just have to be on the grind the entire month long though.
-Leave. If you have a car and decent driving record deliver some pizza or do some lawn work for a few months while you're looking for something else but don't stay in a toxic environment.
