And the true Bryan fans never said he couldn't work the mic. Anyone whose ever seen him cut a promo in person knew Dragon was gonna be just fine on the mic.

idk about that. I'm a huge stan for the guy but I wasn't sure if he was gonna be able to cut a good promo that wouldn't involve being intense (he's always been good at those). Hell, even Dragon himself admitted countless times that he wasn't a good promo.

Since day 1 he's been comfortable with the mic and you can't deny that that's a suprise. He used to laugh and break character all the time in the indys and he hasn't done that once in the E even though he's always involved in some form of fukkery. He has stepped up big time.

the promo where he clowned Joe was piff, and that was far from intense.

Nah, it's not really a surprise to me at all.

I felt like every time I seen him speak live in ROH he knew how to connect with the crowd, and that's why he`d be fine on the mic.

You don't have to be The Rock to be a good mic man, all you need to know is how to connect with your audience and not try and force something, Bryan has always done that.

I wasn't the one who upped it, but my ignorant ass should've read the initial post. Damn, my expert use of smilies to convey sentiment went to waste. *neg reps self*

The IWC is fickle as hell they can turn on him. I mean they're slowly turning on Punk who was probably a bigger darling than Dragon.

Hell no he wasn't. Dragon has been the IWC's n°1 since probably 2006.

I remember hearing about Joe and Danielson from the PW kids back in 2002 and 2003. Punk mattered to fans after his ROH run ended and he did a few good promos where he "sold out" to the WWF and all of that. People were praising Danielson matches most of the 2000s...his stuff with Nigel and KENTA were highly loved and rated. And nyggas were hyped for his match with Lance Storm when he came out of "retirement" to face him. They were chanting "BEST IN THE WORLD" at this guy by 07 and 08. Punk got lucky in the E that he debuted in Hammerstein...that caught fire just like RVD's initial reactions after Invasion 2001.

I explained myself right in the next post.

Difference is people always used to sell Bryan short. Nobody thought he had the mic skills or charisma or body type to make it to the top (I did but that's not the point). With Punk people seen him wrecking things on the indy scene and proclaimed him for greatness if only he could get the chance. Now that he's there some are turning on him. Doesn't make sense to me.
