Quitting Call Center Job Appreciation Thread

I remember when I walked the fukk up out my call center. I tried to quit and give in my two weeks notice but they desperately needed people to stay so they talked me into part time.

Even part time wasn't the move. After
I finished up a call I logged out, clocked out, walked away and didn't look back.

Manager called me up while I was on a roadtrip asking: are you going to come back?

Me: No I'm sorry but I can't.

My phone was on speaker and I thought my brother hung up as I proceeded to talk MAD shyt about the company and the bytch on the line and she heard it all and hung up

Yall right about hoes running rampant in joint, my instructor who was a pawg was nasty. I could overhear her talking about sugar daddies and the recipe to squirting she was a dirty white women

I worked the call center for dell doing technical support for Honeywell employees worst job ever white folks just talking crazy to you. That shyt was like prison I stayed there until this may since it was my one year anniversary and got the fukk outta there and finessed to a field service job

Ive had nightmares just about the sound of the phone ringing.

Ive went to work, walked up to the entrance and just said fukk it and drove home multiple times.

The job lulls you into massive complacency where you complain about being there all day but by the end of the day you're so drained from dealing with 50 people's shyt you don't have the energy to apply elsewhere.

Especially at a large account like a cable or ISP where calls come in back to back 24/7 365.

Man, realist thread ever. It took a toll on me that I started to have panic attacks. I hung up the phone on a customer and went to my boss and quit. He was like I'm proud of you, you escaped. You had 40 year olds that been working there for 15 years and shyt. I did a year and bounced. You finish a call after getting cussed out for something you can't control and then u pick up another call within 5 seconds() and get cussed out again. It made me go back to school, that's how bad that shyt was.

Seems like a legit policy. How many days off do you need in a month? And if it’s regularly occurring, why not adjust your schedule?

I agree with you. I'm just saying taking off once a month regularly, should be something you build into your overall availability, not use PTO for.
