the music was better when nikkas was fake simpin

lying ass old heads talking all that baby baby baby bs

but really beating bytches getting high fukking hookers etcetera

the lies couldn't hold up so now everyone just gave up & started telling the truth

but the truth ain't as pretty as the lie & the music reflects that

& the modern cats that talk that i love you girl shyte really believe it now

it be the greenest most square bytch made nikkas on that wave now

& that lame nikka vibration is what would repel supporters

the best music came from artist who really lived life running the streets wilding & balanced that with craftsmanship

now it's a bunch of artist who may have the technical skill but they are closeted & housebound

scared to death of life outside

basically it's over y'all ha

The point of OP's thread went over most people's head. Good music exists, you just have to go find it. OP's issue as with a lot Gen Z men, is that there's a feeling that good women that have mutual interest seemingly don't exist. I would say he just has to find them but I know that's exponentially harder than finding good music.

@Rozay Oro I have tons of love music, because if music is good and the content isn't too far fetched I'll rock with it. From Marvin to Miguel, Diana to D'Angelo, etc. I largely skip when it comes up unless I'm in a genuinely good mood or high. This is day 3 of a sobriety kick to keep my tolerance in check so there won't be much love/in live songs, may let the right heartbreak/jaded songs play though.

Composition/musical elements wise I like R&B, but I get what you mean in the sense that it's hard to relate to/fully enjoy a joint like "Forever My Lady" when it's more likely than not you won't find a woman. If you look into the artists lives these songs are a reflection of their lives at the moment. Most don't have one long enduring marriage. Many never had kids/settled down, or went through multiple marriages, etc. Hell a lot of the best songs in the genre were written by a songwriter and performed by completely different vocalist so the song isn't even their experience or sentiments really.
Yup u get it

No powerhouse groups, male or female, just over-processed, multi-sampled crap. Women sound like crack heads in pain, Men sound like whispering wimps....pathetic

People just need to admit they are old and overhype 90s music
A lot of that shyt was hit or miss and recycled themes from 70s and 80s music
Which all those “composers” used in that era as a crutch for samples
Besides Teddy Riley, Babyface, The Neptunes, Missy,Timb, Jimmy Jam and Terry, Prince, Jacksons( all of them)
That’s exactly what that music was
Rehashed beats
Stop living in nostalgia
Sure there will never be another Gerald
But don’t sit here and act like that era was full of hard hitters
One of the principal pillars of this forum is suppose to be based on music
But everybody is talking about it with rose colored glasses
nikkas still arguing about Nas vs Jayz:russ:
Just face it, this forum is filled with miserable nikkas talking about the good old days
Afraid to even try to find music or give it a chance
God forbid you like a white singer or the artist doesn’t fit your standard of “masculine”
This will be the last time I put any nikkas on to shyt
Sit in your old nikka time machines while screaming at clouds:mjlol::dead:

The 70s-90s had the best music hands down. You just sound angry and delusional your generation is wack:deadmanny:

You say 'old' like it's a bad thing. shyt I wish I was born in 75 instead of 90:russ:
