long post, but like mentioned before people can say what they want about Vince, but he held back a lot of this type of shyt from happening even as the CEO of a publicly traded company. he was the shield. however now that TKO runs things, all they care about is the bottom line. nothing more. there simply is nothing more important than the money when it comes to companies like this. there is no soul. it's just about making profit.
to TKO, the WWE is Wal-Mart, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. ... their history and legacy doesn't mean a damn thing. all that matters is their next quarterly financials and they will cheapen the product down to the bare bones in order to get maximum profit.
R-Truth should be allowed to be on their payroll for as long as he wants to be there. that's a fact.... but they gotta "trim the fat" aka anyone who is making good money....... even with Braun Strowman, they cut him loose with a year left because of a "high" salary and God forbid they actually reward any of their talent financially in their final years.
TKO is bringing their UFC playbook over to WWE because it worked there and will work here as well.... create a "Contender Series / Ultimate Fighter" which they will use as NXT/Indies ... sell hopes and dreams, lock the talent into long-term, minimal payment contracts, and then release them 5-8 years later once they can request more money .... AND REPEAT. as a result, there will always be new talent in NXT / Contender Series who are hungry to take their place for peanuts on the dollar.
