It could have been exclusive to Shane, but who knows if it would have succeeded since it would be his first big endeavor.

I remember XFL failed because it was a clusterfukk. I don’t remember hearing much about it being fixed.

The XFL failed because the quality of play & product was terrible. But it did have the stink that games were fixed because of Vince McMahon. I think he somewhat learned his lesson after it & decided to stick with wrestling. I say somewhat because that moron did try to relaunch the league again in his senile years.

Tbh, the Cena angle/match was his farewell so it ain't like WWE just threw him to the bushes. It's just bizarre to not want to keep a guy like Truth on your roster :mjpls:

The timing just seems crazy….cause the obvious move would be to have Cena make Truth accept a retirement stipulation in order to get the match…and have truths childhood hero end his career for some real heat

edit: I’m sure that’s been mentioned already, I’m late to the thread

It was more to do with Vince who constantly wanted to show WWEs supremacy over WCW.

He didn't miss a chance to humiliate WCW wrestlers and he was right on this occasion

When Book was the top guy at failing WCW, Triple H was headlining PPVs when WWE was at its fuking peak!
The 18 world title changes in a calendar year, the lead booker becoming a world champion, a B/C list actor becoming world champ, stupid things like a 49ers for gold match, the Judy bagwell on a forklift match, the bash at the beach 2000 fiasco, vacating all their titles in a single night, and Jeff goddamn Jarrett being a main eventer while half the roster was openly looking to leave and trashing the company might have had more to do with it than Booker finally getting a main event push :aicmon:

Well then the roster is going to look like the Tekken 1 character select screen. :mjlol:
I mean... The problem with R-Truth and a lesser extent, Carlito.

They are not wrestlers you put on the card to draw money or have much value outside of being TV characters.

This is a situation where they are looking ignorantly at a spreadsheet and not seeing the performance matching the cost.

Which is wild... R-Truth is a hall of fame wrestler and deserved better.

Carlito was wasted and never let to do a single run. Triple H at his finest.

Most people in the WWE aren't drawing money, and the funny thing is that Truth's "Ron Cena" shirt is one of the highest sellers at the moment.

I wasn't a fan of the way Truth has been used for the like the last ten years or so, but it's messed up to let him go after being with the company for so long. I'm not saying make him WWE champion for like a year or, but damn they could have actually make him seem like a credible wrestler.

In barely a year they’ve burned so much good will that people want Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn back. Takes a special grade of incompetence and soullessness to do that.
Vince maybe, Dun absolutely not. Funny thing is that the goodwill was built on everything Vince had built from 2020-2023 before leaving. Wrestlemania 40 was the last great moment in the WWE, because everything since then has been going downhill.

Have they said when his contract actually expires? And if it doesn’t expire in the next 30 days, this tweet is a bit premature.

So much could of changed between now and 6 or 9 months of when his contract actually expires.

This is actually a discussion on its own. I feel like WWE is coasting off the name but there’s not many superstars, if there are some, that stand out.

Rhea is a name and star for the company, but how many know her outside the wrestling bubble? Seth is another one. He did get that Captain America gig, but it flopped. Roman was/is it, but he’s probably done in a few years.

Truth tweeting means they told him they're not renewing or offering him anything. If they do offer him something it's because of the outrage from his coworkers and fans.
