As key as it is to be able to deliver once the bell rings (and truth has always been damn good at that), the most important part is making people care. He’s genuinely one of the funniest people to ever work in the business and the crowd and the locker room absolutely love the guy. He makes any segment he’s in better and he’s always prepared to seriously drop some knowledge on people too. This is the sort of guy who should have a job for life as long as he wants it.

Exactly. Even a guy just cutting promos or doing funny stints here and there. It's world wrestling entertainment and r truth always entertained. Even resigning in a non ring role and just cutting promos or being a manager or part of a stable.

This is a travesty. What they gonna do the same to Rey Mysterio next ?!

New Wrestling World Order here…

Damn can’t believe they released Truth. Under Vince this would never happen. He should have a legends contract man.
they didn’t release him and he will most likely get that legends contract when his working talent contract expires. unless he wants to work the indies for a while which i’m sure he’ll make bank.

It was plug and play to have him promote a match too. He’d come out and cut a promo to hype up what he’s gonna do in the money in the bank ladder match that he wasn’t even in and now you’ve got a positive feeling affiliated with the match when he wasn’t even in it. The 2020 royal rumble match was great, but when I think of that match, I think of truth talking about how he’s gonna eliminate Heyman from the match and then bailing once he realizes it’s Brock he’d be facing and not Paul. He had 2 absolute gold moments at the rumble last year and you know it’s good for the locker room to have a segment where someone sends him out on tv to make someone crack on camera. Nobody was ever worse off for working with him either. Look at what he did for judgement day last year. “Did y’all win? How did I do?” might be one of the most perfectly timed jokes in wrestling history.
