The main function of racism is to legitimize and rationalize the inhumanity.

Human beings are savage by nature. Wherever we see weakness we will have a desire to exploit it. Despite all of the vitriol towards black people I’ve come across in my life I don’t think I ever read or heard a compelling argument for it. A lot of that “hate” comes from more base motivations like entitlement, jealousy, insecurity and sadistic tendencies.

See I used to think this too until I realized that's not nor has it ever really been the case. If human beings were just naturally exploitative savages then the human race wouldn't have progressed much beyond cave dwellers and warring nomads. Even in the animal kingdom not all species see "weakness" as a thing to be exploited, and the same is true of humans. Matter of fact if your first instinct upon encountering a weaker, non-threatening being is to exploit or harm it then you probably have no place in the survival hierarchy.

I think you're missing the point. Nobody (black anyway) is JUST waking up and paying attention to racism or realizing bigotry is bad, but many are taken aback by how deep and insidious it runs and continues to be.

For the people saying it's human nature, how come black people don't have that natural fear and hatred of cacs or other racial groups? Even after all they have done, it is cacs who have black people living rent free in their heads. We have an effect on them and not vice versa.
