There is no reason to accept slander about either side on these issues. Too many are seeing what is said by some of the loudest people on the internet and taking that to be what the general population of people believe. That is a leap no one should take on these issues. Are some sisters saying some shiesty stuff out the side of their mouths about Black men right here on this board, yes. Are some brothers saying shiesty stuff about Black women right here on this board, I say yes to that too.
It is possible to defend either side without making general negative statements about the entire group. Also, recognize that the foibles that either sex commits does not mean you hate the entire sex. You don't have to hide away from the truth as a performative measure to show how Black you are. We have problems in our communities, problems that are being generated by both sexes. These problems will never be resolved if we close our eyes to the fact that it is a bilateral issue and not one that we can place the blame wholly on one side. That being the case, I have no problem with any of those problems being exposed among us. I do have a problem with the attempts to lay blame at the feet of every Black person of either sex, when really it is a subset of our people causing the most havoc.
It is not all Black women who are doing wrong, just like it is not all Black men. It is some of each, and so these attempts by either side to point only at the other is pretty much a direct copy of the meme of two Spidermen pointing at each other or the pot calling the kettle black. Neither side really has the moral authority to look down on the other, nor the financial wherewithal to call the other side dusty. A lot of times the ones making the most derogatory statements about their opposite sex counterparts are actually in a similar station in life as the ones they are deriding.
