He was an advocate of people being able to say what they want. Reason being is that he always wanted his own free speech protected. He defended Don Imus during the nappy headed ho thing and nikkas killed him for it. I don't think he really fukked with Anthony but he preferred his honest racism over the fake condescending liberalism/tolerance that most white people try to front with

Funny thing is Marc Lamont Hill was one of the nikkas attacking Patrice for his views during the Don Imus thing and he just got fired for thinking he could say what he wanted

I agree with all of this. Patrice would regularly call out O&A on their racism and not back down. He was there because it made him visible (audibly) to a large audience and he hated playing “the game” to get on in Hollywood. Did Patrice make some questionable moves? Yes. But I don’t think he was a c00n. He just believed in free speech because he was smart enough to see where things were headed. He was right on a lot of things too.

Btw, outside of YouTube videos featuring Patrice on O&A, I’ve never listened to their shows in their entirety.

Real shyt. He knew where this kind of culture was heading and he knew it would have repercussions for black people. I saw some video the other day with this dude complaining about racism in online video games and he said all racists should be permanently banned. He also brought up how Microsoft tried to address this and it led to a bunch of black people being banned for saying nikka. Patrice predicted this type of thing happening exactly

I think this generation would have been cruel to him but we need a voice like his to offer a bigger picture perspective tbh. Everybody scared of getting cancelled now tho

Patrice being gone is why we're stuck with Corey Holcomb.

Frankly, Patrice was A LOT smarter and nuanced than Corey Holcomb and way less innately ignorant.
