The original NRA supported black guns rights and a lot of current gun laws are because of racist limitations in response to the Panthers scaring the establishment

Its to our benefit to become involved in ALL of this stuff. They can't shun you when you own as much or more stock of their hobbies than they do.

It's not to our benefit. Access to firearms is correlated increased likelihood of suicide, homicide, and accidental death. Yeah. Sounds peachy.
I appreciate that firearms restrictions were once focused (and continue to be if you include the drug war/felon restrictions) on blacks but society has changed; firearms just aren't as vital as they used to be. We know of the large downsides to them, there aren't too many upsides.

And just generally, not all gun owners are racist but all racists are gun owners. This isn't uncommon. All over the US you can find racist paraphernalia sold at gun shows. Hell, check out some of the folks associated with the NRA board. Not exactly the most tolerant folks.

But good try on the dropping of the knowledge or whatever it was that you were trying to do.
