Flames, on first listen rank this behind the two Cuban Linxes, and maybe slightly behind Shaolin vs Wu. Not counting Ironman and Wu-Massacre as semi-Rae albums.

A lot of talk about the Nas verse, but was posting with @Ziggiy recently about Nas NEVER giving Wu-Tang anything less than stellar verses. He elevates, because people like Rae are elite. A lot of comparisons to the CLIPSE verse, which kind of makes sense - but as much as I fukks with them and that album...Rae is a higher level of Mc than Push and Malice, so Nas gives him a higher level verse :yeshrug:

A Wu album without Rza will never sound right to me, and a Rae album without Cappadonna is also incomplete - but those are nitpicks. I'm too in love/obsessed with the best of the Wu albums to rate some of their follow-ups fairly :russ:

Some of these struggle beats :francis:

Rae really dug into his old Lex Diamond Story beat tape for some of these shyts. I didn't even know mfs made cheap cinematic synth beats like Open Doors anymore :heh:

This goofy R&B bird wallowing on 1 Life :mjlol::hhh:

Swizz looping up some old James Newton Howard sounding shyt from a c-tier action movie....WOAT stay WOATING :camby:

Damn, I thought Rae was floating on The Omerta, then Nas took it up another notch :ahh:

Edit so I don’t keep spamming this thread, but Rae killed the Mac and Lobster beat. Ghost sounds energized on every feature and I CAN’T WAIT for SC2.

On my third listen now.

Chef is still sharp as a MF on the mic, with the lyrics/flow. He hasn't lost a step, at all. That's what I'm diggin' the most about the album. I like Ghost's energy on the joints he's on too. He always seems like he gets charged when he's on tracks with Rae. So that makes me excited to peep SC2, when that drops soon.

I think the production is a little average. I don’t know what it is about most of the beats, but they're not on the same level as Chef's rhyming, to me. They're not wack, but they're just decent enough to get by because Chef is killing it on the whole album. Either way, he came through with a dope project. He's sounding like he's rejuvenated again and ready to keep cooking more classic sh*t.
Ghost next in August :blessed: :salute:

YOOOO!!!!!!

He killed Jim Jones on the Instagram Version of "The Omerta".

Reading comments on Nas' recent post, people mentioning how the Instagram version of the song is different and how he's going at Jim.

Just heard it (click on the option to add audio on an Instagram story, and look up Raekwon The Omerta.)

Esco equally spazzed on this version.

You see the potential like songs with Marsha, GFK, Griselda, the 1st 2, songs are dope. BUT ultimately the beat selection are mid. But at least he can still do hooks
