A few people put their finger on it, this feels like the album hes been unsuccessfully trying to make for years. He got it right this time. This will stay in rotation. This brings me back to why I became an obsessive Wu stan in the first place :banderas:

A lot of the beats have a strong Wu or 90s vibe to them but with with modern touches and clean modern engineering that suits late era Rae's luxury style.

Not saying its perfect (that Marsha joint can get the whole fukk out of here) but I let everything else ride and its great. I got higher expectations for the Ghost LP now, he killed his spots.

On track 9 now and yea Rae GOT ONE with this.

Unless the second half completely falls off a cliff this is right there with the Clipse album in quality. Ghostface and Method Man did NOT come to play and i’ve already heard the Nas feature and he came to wreck shop as well.

For those wondering, the production has NOT let Rae down on this album. Its really cohesive and some of these beats are reminiscent of prime RZA.

Just listened to it

Its better than his last album, The Wild

The standout tracks:

Da Heavies
The Omerta (Nas stole the show :damn:)
600 School (Meth :wow:)
Get Outta Here
Pomogranite
Mac & Lobster
Debra Night Wine

The song “1 Life” would’ve been better if a singer like Blue Raspberry or Marsha sang again on that like he had her feature on Debra Night Wine joint.

I couldn’t bother listening to Wild Corsicans, them Griselda are goofy to me.

The skits weren’t necessary

I think the only two songs I didn’t mention was “The Guy That Plans” and “Open Doors”, they were alright songs but didn’t hold my attention like the standout tracks I mentioned

All that said, this is his best album in a long time, it’s step back in the right direction

On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d say it’s a 6 out of 10
