Wu's base is super white. More than the normal hip hop act. I guess their lucky for that because they still buying up merch and going to shows in 2016.

ALL major rap acts...ALL...have a mostly white fan base that packs their shows and purchase their music and merchandise. You can't name one MAJOR rap act that doesn't have a predominantly white fan base.

I'm always a bit surprised how Black Americans have just ignored the African and Latin American market, whilst Reggae artist have always been heavy in them spots.

I Don't think it's a case of ignoring markets, it's just that they probably don't sell well in those areas.

Yeah I get it, but there is a bit off neglect some our artist have towards those markets.

Just using Latin America, Rap is huge out there, but very few rappers have performed anywhere in the Americas outside of Jamaica, Mexico City, maybe PR .


But like I said, Reggae artist are all over Latin America, doing shows.

Cause relating to the topic of the thread that concert was actually majority black if i remember correctly but ya most concerts are majority white

I remember going to college in savannah during the early 90s and RAKIM and UNCLE LUKE were both performing that same night in two different venues

Nah the current Wu fanbase is very white to the point of like 95%. Young black kids don't look up to them like they do Jay, Nas, Biggie, Pac, Snoop, 3 stacks, etc. And neither do the people they're currently listening to.

Few reasons....

Believe it or not white people do genuinely love hip hop and seeing groups like wu tang.

White people also tend to have more disposable income.

Here in America, a lot of these big concerts are held in heavily white areas. All the big summer shows out in California for example are in super white, desert areas. The Rock The Bells, the big festivals, that a lot of white wu tang fans go to....
