Damn this might have convinced me though.. As a nikka from the mixtape era, around mixtape DJ's, those last 5-10 slots on a mixtape was definitely worth thousands. First songs, big label joints, even more than that...

So if a nikka says "yo I'm gonna put you on a tape for $500-1000" That's about all you gonna get. Why would you think $500 and a mixtape slot was gonna get you fame? Or anything? Did they say it's gonna be on the first page on spotify? Or even on their page?

It's shady as fukk.. But I saw this all through that era from the biggest names. Paying to perform... shyt coast 2 coast been doing that for 30 years and still doing it to this day.

Facts. shyt is wack. Someone comes to these artists with names (Fat Joe, Jadakiss, DMX, Redman, Benny, etc...) and tells them "We can make you X amount of dollars, if we can use your IG". These artists not even DMing them, then they promise you to put you on a mixtape with the rapper, they put out some mixtape that's never promoted, the artist that DMed you isn't even on it, and it has 60 other new rappers on it nobody ever heard of. Only thing the artist does it put their face on the cover. It's disgusting.

These the same nikkas talking about "I get to the bag" but scamming young kids from the hood during a pandemic. Nasty work.
