Rakim repeatedly says things like
"I just want to see hip-hop prosper"
"I'm more from the lyricist school, but to each his own"
"I can't knock em"
One of his major points is there's a difference between hip-hop and rap. But then the TMZ guys apparently aren't even listening to what he's saying, because they immediately go "blah blah rap used to mean something different" and the title of the video is "Rakim says Millennials are ruining rap". Completely ignoring the point he was making, which is what Millenials are doing (rap) is a different thing from hip-hop and that he's not going to knock them if that's what the younger generation is into.
Pathetic, especially because Rakim doesn't give that many interviews, so to distort what he says is even more blasphemous.
