This is what it comes down to. Now stop talking about when is Johnson going to help beat top tier teams, when Martin can't even get on the court. :camby:

Quit trying to twist the narrative & use Martin not playing currently (or in the future) as an out fukkboy because you can't obviously make a comparison when both players aren't actually playing & it's irrelevant to what Joe Johnson is doing now & your overall premise based on his current performance.

Why do I even bother.

Well we know it's clearly not you. You've been trying to shift the argument every step of the way.

These are two different things. First of all, yes Martin can be valuable under the right circumstances, but then so can most players. The problem is this - Martin ONLY provides spot-up shooting and virtually nothing else. Whereas not does Johnson provide spot-up shooting (he's actually shooting better from behind the arc this season), he can be used as a playmaker/help run the offense, he can be used as an option on the low block, can be used to create his own shot (especially down the stretch), be used in different types of lineups, can play competent defense - mostly versatility of being able to guard different positions. There's so many things he offers that Martin doesn't.

And I mean you'd have an argument if K-Mart's shooting actually provided more impact than what Johnson did collectively, but Johnson is shooting BETTER than him this season. The only job that K-Mart has, even Johnson is better than him at it:

Johnson - 38% 3-pt shooting on 3.9 attempts
K-Mart - 37% 3-pt shooting on 2.6 attempts

How can K-Mart be possibly better at this stage of his career when he doesn't even do his ONE job better than Johnson?

The only one that's been looking like a fool is you. Nobody in their right mind would call Martin a better player. It's just simply not reflective of reality. Why do you constantly overlook all the other things Johnson does on the court to help teams? Why do you only bring up scoring?

Holla back when Kevin Martin is actually getting game time. :ld:

:russell::mjlol: Typing up all these long winded soliloquies & fantasy scenarios still doesn't change anything based on Joe Johnson's current performance on the court.

the officiating in this spurs bulls game :scust:

Just straight make up call ball...:scust:

First quarter the spurs get in the penalty and somehow the bulls only commit on foul...

Second quarter any contact and it's a foul on the bulls...

Pau Gasol blatantly shoves Timmy and it's a no call that leads to a 3...

Parker get's a layup on the other end and a foul is randomly called cause the refs missed the call on Pau...

shyts horrible...

:what: You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
The fact that Atlanta paid Johnson a 6 year $123.7 million contract & gave up 2 future 1st round draft picks for his services shows he was clearly over-hyped as a player. :martin:
Doggy if you are trying to make your point the actions of the Hawks front office is NOT who you should use :laff:
  • The same hawks front office who picked marvin Williams over Chris Paul
  • That same Hawks front office drafted Shelden Williams over Paul Milsap, Rudy gay, Brandon Roy, Rajon Rondo and Rajon Rondo when they clearly needed guards
Thats the front office whos decision you are basing your point on? Noone was gonna give Joe Johnson a max contract that second time. NOONE. Even in Atlanta (im a Heat fan but i live in Atlanta) hawks fans were saying they would cancel their season tickets if they resigned Joe Johnson. Hawks fans use to say Josh Smith was the heart of the team. hawks fans used to say and i quote "marvin Williams is the best player on that team. he just doesnt know it yet" :deadmanny:

There was never much hype about JJ. Say what you want about him. He dissapears in bug games. He's no star. because the SG position was so diluted he was the 3rd or 4th best SG in the game behind Kobe and Wade . Fine. But there was no "hype"
