Mike Malone is trying to blow this big lead like he did against Dallas last week. You can't keep Augustin in there too long, he's a front runner and he doesn't/can't play defense.

He's food.

Devin Booker is for real. He stays in attack mode ALL game. I didn't see this intensity at Kentucky, nor this ball-handling nor this offensive variety.

Update:
Booker is getting tired. He couldn't fight off the D and then went on to miss his next 3(?) shots. They looked sloppy too. If he has to sit for an extended period of time I don't think they have a chance.

Doggy if you are trying to make your point the actions of the Hawks front office is NOT who you should use

The Hawks actions actually prove my point while completely disproving yours because the Hawks were actually dumb enough to pay JJ 123 million & give up two 1st round draft picks believing that he would change the fortunes of the franchise as their "star" player. Just because they were wrong about Joe Johnson along with being completely stupid doesn't negate this fact. :heh:

There was never much hype about JJ. Say what you want about him. He dissapears in bug games. He's no star. because the SG position was so diluted he was the 3rd or 4th best SG in the game behind Kobe and Wade . Fine. But there was no "hype"

Bullshyt! Once again you don't know what the hell you're talking about! Joe Johnson was clearly hyped as a superstar type talent in Phoenix before he left to Atlanta. Of course, you didn't know this because during the early 2000's you probably were still riding bicycles & skateboards through the neighborhood park .

:mjlol:

Sign-and-trade with Hawks would net Johnson $70M

"Johnson's increasingly imminent departure is a coup for the desperate Hawks and an undeniable blow to the Suns, who have long considered the versatile swingman no less critical to last season's overwhelming success than any of their three All-Stars: Amare Stoudemire, Shawn Marion and Nash. Next to Nash, the league's newly minted MVP, Johnson was the only other dependable playmaker on a 62-win team and shot a deadly 47.8 percent from 3-point range."

Although sources insist that Sarver was intent on matching an offer sheet to Johnson, doing so would have put Phoenix in the rare position of carrying four players who earn roughly $50 million by themselves, with Stoudemire soon to receive a maximum contract extension that would kick in starting with the 2006-07 season. And Kurt Thomas, another recent acquisition from New York in a trade for Quentin Richardson, has three seasons left on his deal at an average of more than $7 million.

Johnson, a restricted free agent, has been planning for weeks to sign a five-year, $70 million offer sheet from Atlanta as soon as the league's moratorium on signings is lifted Tuesday at noon. On Thursday, Johnson stunned Suns managing partner Robert Sarver by asking Sarver directly not to match the offer, telling his boss that he prefers to continue his career as a Hawk.

Stein: Hawks talk $70M in Johnson sign-trade

Devin Booker caught his breath after the end of the quarter and has continued his scoring. Mudiay is back in the game and has now made a couple of shots and a couple more assists. The last posession Mudiay guarded Booker, forcing him to give the ball up to Leuer who air-balled a three.

It's crazy watching the evolution of Booker in just 1 season. This was a timid kid who would pass up open shots at the start of the season and now he's putting up 30+ point games efficiently as the number 1 option.
