Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I understand why they did it but it is still crazy they denver didn't try harder to make the jokic nurkic parrying work...

When the blazers trade one of dame or cj Nurkic is going to start putting up the same numbers as Jokic...

It was never going to work between those two, but throwing in a first rounder ontop of it was just :wtf:

I think adding Nurkic and getting 3 first round picks this summer has made it easier for them to keep Lillard/McCollum together. They can draft some purely defensive minded players, like it they can get OG Anunoby that would be a great pickup for them, he's injured and will probably slip down to their range.

Yeah but how bad is his knee injury?

If the warriors have to play Denver without KD shyt is going to get a little :leon:...

They are not going to get very much production from the sf spot until KD comes back...

If Gallo or Chandler has a big game they are going to be behind the 8 ball pretty bad...

They will still win but without KD I can see that being a 6 game series...

Now if KD comes back and he just isn't terrible then forget it thats sweep or 5 game series and the warriors win every game 130 to 118...
KD wlll be 100%

and since he is a pure shooter.. his conditioning wont matter

He is never going to be as good as he can be playing with two guards who don't play defense and need the ball in their hands a lot...since Nurkic is at his best when the ball is in his hands and he himself isn't a very good defender...

Unless both Dame and CJ become more catch and shoot guys...which they could but they won't cause they both prefer to create their own shot rather than catch and shoot...

And I don't and won't ever buy into a "never going to work" argument for players who are 22...that's way to young to determine what will and won't work between two players...especially for Denver who shouldn't be in any rush to do anything...

Who can they realistically flip CJ or Dame for though :patrice:...it HAS to be larger wing player who is still an offensive threat but at least an average defender in the nba:patrice:

Let that man heal and come back slowly (we all saw what happen with Curry last year and rushing back) . And his role is much more than a shooter, he's the only one on the team that can put the ball on the ground and consistently get to the rim as well as his ability to rebound and rim protect.

CJ and Lillard have both been playing off the ball a lot more with Nurkic, and it's working, dude has been passing up a storm and has been a focal point of their offense finding cutters. With the draft picks they really don't have to trade either one of them, and I honestly believe the Nurkic trade saved the pairing because it gives them a 3rd option that they can both play off of.

Nurkic is a solid defender when he's motivated, since the trade his rim protection numbers have been better than Whiteside, Dwight, Nerlens and DeAndre Jordan, he can defend as long as he keeps his fouls in check. Putting him with Jokic was just a bad move as they are both realistically centers, and they were getting in each others way on offense.

Why trade either one? They can still move Crabbe + picks for a player if they need to. Before the Nurkic trade it seemed like they should, but they've looked good with him and the draft can help them land some defensive players.

Westbrook and cousins are cancers
When Davis is on the court without Cousins, the Pelicans are outscoring teams by 4.2 points per 100 possessions, per NBA.com. Bring on Boogie, and that number plummets to minus-7.9. When Cousins is on without Brow, his performance has been relatively unchanged, but the Pelicans are even worse, at minus-17.4, per NBA.com.

Boogie defenders are losing it without blaming the kings anymore

Wouldn't be shocked to see boogie traded again in the summer.

I think one of the main reasons why they have to move one is because they can't move anyone else...crabee, turner, aminu, and leonard all have below average performance for their contracts...while crabbe is easily the best of that bunch i don't know who is biting on him for what...18 million a year or something close?

And I just don't believe in small backcourts who don't play any defense...once they get to the second round where you tend to play a pretty solid defensive team (this years rockets will be an exception) it becomes really hard to win when your top 2 scorers can't defend anybody...

I am iffy on rim protection as a stat...because i believe real rim protection is when you are so good...like rudy is and like Dedmon has been at times...that teams just don't even test you at the rim in the first place...and with how bad cj and dame are defensively on the perimeter i just don't know if Nurkic is ever going to get there...

If Portland keeps dame and cj going forward I see Nurkic never living up to what he could be simply because he is constantly in a position to pick up two quick fouls because dame and cj can't stay in front of anybody...

I think the ceiling for Nurkic + dame or cj + insert larger better defensive guard here is higher than Nurkic +dame+cj

The 2nd rounder they got back only means they drop 10 or so slots
