A good gm would have found a way to make that Melo trade. Knicks were just asking for Austin Rivers in return and Doc still didnt make the trade

Crawford and Rivers for Melo is not an upgrade

Crawford is trash, having a SF that they need > Austin Rivers

They would have to depend on Mo Buckets in the second unit to stay in the game, their bench is already awful, Melo wouldn't even bring them more wins and this team is already injury prone, if they lost CP3 after this trade it would be over.

If they had Melo, they can definitely adjust mins and have some starters play with bench..:yeshrug:Austin Rivers isn't that big of a loss to me. Raymond Felton has been doing fine, and if Doc was a good gm he can definitely find gems like Lebron does. Look at how Griffin and Bron in Cleveland have done a great job of adding solid bench players for nothing. Clippers starting 5 with Melo would be stacked, + LA..guys would come here but Doc is terrible.
