The league was almost assed out, the Spurs were 1 pick away from getting Gobert.

Breh delete this before The Mainframe comes in here with ten paragraphs of "I'm always right" narrative on why Draymond Green should win it every year :merchant:
I've already posted on how great Gobert has been on defense this season, miss me with your bullshyt:
The craziest thing about his defense is that nobody comes close to his rim protection attempts (307 which is 38 more than the #2 ranked player) and rim protection % (41.7% - everybody else in the top-5 ranges from 45%-50%). Opponents are shooting -12% in the paint against him too. Quite literally a game changer.
It's got nothing to do with Draymond. What is wrong with y'all? I have no ulterior motive here (I've even admitted to Gobert having a strong case for DPOY). I'm just simply here to discuss Kawhi's defensive play and why the stats read as they do.
:merchant:

That's what I'm doing, except I'm going a step further than you and actually looking at impact, not just seeing who might be marginally better in more areas, yet disregarding the large gap(s) in the most important ones. Hence why I'm focusing on scoring as much as I am, because it is probably the most important thing in this argument. Simply because of their roles. It's different for a center because they don't need the same offensive skillset and impact that main guard ball-handlers do, because their impact on the defensive end is equally as important (if not more in some cases). An example of this is Rudy Gobert, despite him being a limited scorer and having a limited scoring skillset, his defensive impact makes up for what he doesn't provide on the offensive end and surpasses almost every big man, even the likes of B.Lopez who scores nearly eight points more than he does and has a better scoring skillset by a considerable margin.
Rudy is a special player and has an argument for being a top-5 big man through sheer impact

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
Man............ Karl Anthony fukkin Towns is so damn dominant it's fukkin crazy. I don't want to hear nikkas saying shyt bout defense, MIN has been a top 5 defensive team since the all Star break. nikka is averaging like 30/13 over his last 41 games :banderas:. This is easily one of the best sophomore seasons of the modern era and the last 30 years.

I'm not picking a single player over LAST to start a franchise with tbh. Dude makes the game look so easy

@Gil Scott-Heroin could you imagine this cavs season had it been under Blatt rather than Lue? I legitimately don't think I've seen Lue criticized once outside of Lebron's minutes. :mjlol:
I was gonna make a post about this yesterday. I'm not in the least bit surprised this board isn't using the same standards for Lue, that they did for Blatt. shyt like this would've been a featured thread if it was Blatt -

He just dropped 70 in a loss. They could play him all 48 minutes and still lose. Don't see how this is a tank move.
They're playing a team on a 7 game losing streak Tre ... and MGMT made Watson bench Bledsoe indefinitely ...
