You can do whatever mental gymnastics you want to convince yourself otherwise, but if the Cavs could get an all-star caliber player and multiple 1sts in return for Drummond he would've already been shipped out. There's a reason why the Pistons traded him for scraps, there's a reason why the Cavs don't want to give him a big contract and traded for another center. Stop letting those flashy numbers fool you, the idea of Andre Drummond is better than the reality.

Drummond doesn't elevate the Celtics to being a legitimate title contender this year. The only thing Drummond offers the Celtics that they don't have right now is elite rebounding. He's not a better shooter than Theis, he's not more athletic or a better shot blocker than Robert Williams. And the emphasis is on this year because that's also the only season he's under contract.

Why do you keep talking about stats?...... I never made one mention of Drummond's stats.

You're talking about K.Walker being an all-star as if he isn't overpaid damaged goods.....You said the Cavs are struggling to find a market for Drummond yet the Celtics have been trying to trade Kemba since last season.

I'm not even arguing that Kemba is some supreme elite asset.

At the end of the day it's a pointless trade for the Celtics. If we're trading Kemba and multiple 1sts in a deal then it better be for something that elevates the ceiling of this team. Andre Drummond is not that. He's nowhere near impactful enough to vault the Celtics from being the pretenders they currently are to being able to win a championship.

Nets shouldn’t have to play with this much tempo to be good. The worst the defense the less pace you need to help it out. They can have an efficient offense at any pace. To better support their defense they need to slow it up
