these cats spent all their time hooping and not paying attention in science classes

How many times has it been said that the vaccine doesnt necessarily STOP you from getting the rona....it lessens the effects of it.....

this is just getting sad at this point
science class would tell us to stop calling the shot a vaccine, if we're being real

This is embarrassing for the NBA. Seriously.
How? Just like the NFL, the vast majority of the league is vaccinated. Even higher clip than the general public.

Beyond that, the risks for anyone involved are exceedingly slim.

The media is chasing a story for clicks and trying to play to stereotype the players are ignorant/backward and people are gladly playing along.

not really tho…

actual info —->

A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular infectious disease.[1] A vaccine typically contains an agent that resembles a disease-causing microorganism and is often made from weakened or killed forms of the microbe, its toxins, or one of its surface proteins. The agent stimulates the body's immune system to recognize the agent as a threat, destroy it, and to further recognize and destroy any of the microorganisms associated with that agent that it may encounter in the future. Vaccines can be prophylactic (to prevent or ameliorate the effects of a future infection by a natural or "wild" pathogen), or therapeutic (to fight a disease that has already occurred, such as cancer).[2][3][4][5] Some vaccines offer full sterilizing immunity, in which infection is prevented completely.[6]

Because this goes against the image of leadership and seriousness cultivated in the bubble. They look like clowns.

So in this scenario, they go home, and then to work and that's it right? The assumption that you're making is comical.
In this scenario, they work five days a week or whenever, are around players when they're at work. Stuff they do outside of that, they probably do with a lot less frequency.

The idea that a lot of people, perhaps even most people, on a regular day, go to work then go home isn't comical at all.

HIPAA's primary protection over PHI is directed at business entities (and companies that work w said entities) that have to exchange said health information. Don't put that information at risk.
You (the employer) also don't want to force an employee to disclose private info, like their reason behind not getting vaxxed: Is it a HIPAA Violation to Ask for Proof of Vaccine Status?

Some schmuck just asking if a guy is vaccinated is not how HIPAA works whatsoever

I'm actually glad you posted the definition, so many people get that wrong :russ:

Vaccine provides protection against severe disease and hospitalization.

The idea that a fully vaccinated NBA staffer will get a debilitating case of COVID from exposure to unvaccinated player is silly (and also discounts the effectiveness of the vaccine).
