I won't be surprised if they shut him down for the year at this point
if he turns into the next Greg Oden, that'd be crazy. considering all the hype he had coming into the league. It was LeBron levels of hype

Jazz play a great brand of basketball. A shame nobody really cares for them like that.

Because the brand of basketball is stronger than the individuals. I stay watching them for the ball movement, but I never quite get the enjoyment I like out their games. I also think Mitchell is a weird ass player - way better than detractors can see, but nowhere near the ceiling his supporters imagine. We're going on year 3 of Joe Ingles being their intriguing/wildcard guy. That's an indictment.

This season blows at this point, we were one of the best teams at 8-2 then Covid hit and in a very tough part of the schedule at that:snoop:

By the time Embiid is back we'll be under 500 :mjcry:

They're only 4.5 games back of the 10th seed even with how bad they've performed, so it's too early in the season to consider shutting him down. If that's what they decide to do though then they might as well fire Griffin the moment that they make that announcement.

Mitchell is one of those weird players that always starts rather meh at the beginning of the season and picks up the pace in the 2nd half. Better suited as a 2nd option though instead of your lead guy, which is the reason why they brought in Conley to help mask his deficiencies.
