Jazz play a great brand of basketball. A shame nobody really cares for them like that.
It’s because there is absolutely no trust they can translate it to the playoffs for a Finals run. Not saying they can’t, but nobody believes they can and that is somewhat fair based on their playoff track record. Last season was the year - #1 seed, Kawhi gets hurt after game 4 when it’s 2-2, Lakers don’t have AD. Suns/Bucks did what Utah needed to do. All last season people took a wait and prove it stance with Utah in the playoffs and they gave credence to the perception. It doesn’t help that Gobert isn’t as valuable in playoff ball. His inability to switch and defend on the perimeter has killed them multiple times in playoff series.

The writing was on the wall during preseason:

It's funny how Lakers fans were saying bu-bu-but it's just the preseason when they were losing, yet now they realize those games were actually a lot more reflective of reality than they care to admit.

:troll:

Please stop quoting me. You have some of the worst bball takes on this site.

I also think Mitchell is a weird ass player - way better than detractors can see, but nowhere near the ceiling his supporters imagine. We're going on year 3 of Joe Ingles being their intriguing/wildcard guy. That's an indictment.

N*gga what :childplease:

Ain't nobody checking for bum ass Joe Ingles.

Curry is the second coming of Kobe. Not in terms of play style but the effect he has on crowds whether at home or on the road.

There's a different level of buzz and excitement when each gets going and nobody else comes close when it comes to turning the opposing crowd out.

1. Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors

Criteria frequently used by voters for the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award is “best player on the best team.” Well, there really should be no difference when assessing defensive impact – a terrific team defense needs one or more top individual practitioners. So far, Golden State has been the stingiest with a defensive rating of 99.3 (the only team below 100 per 100 possessions) and Green, as usual, is the Warriors’ defensive quarterback. He’s got the switchability, he’s got the archival knowledge of opposing players and coaches and he’s got the hoops IQ to read things on the fly. Golden State is at or near the top in net rating, opponents’ field-goal percentage, defensive rebound percentage, shots contested, deflections and more. And despite Green’s rueful swipe at DPOY votes last spring – “No one in the world gives a damn about defense!” – this currently is the veteran forward’s top rung to lose.

Defensive Player Ladder: Draymond Green grabs No. 1 spot in debut ranking

I hope you didn't listen to me and put a lil sum sum on him.

:wow:

Edit: Dray is still at around +2100 for DPOY. Get on, my g.
Nah when I quoted you I had already put some on him already. He hasn't won in a while and I feel he's been robbed for one b4, so they owe him this one especially if it's as clear cut as it is now.

He does this move a lot, but this has got to be the best it ever looked because of how hard Edwards bit on the fake.

I agree with you but the Lakers have manifested players out of nothing before and they can do it again, so I have no idea.

They almost got Buddy Hield out of KCP and Kuzma who are both literally garbage so I don't put it past them at all.
Do y'all think the Lakers would be winning these games if they had Hield instead of Westbrook?

Bron is coming back the end of this week, and Westbrook has started slowly and looked like a perfect fit in the second half of the season the last couple of seasons when he's with a new team. Panicking 15 or so games in isn't the move. This is better than the Big 3 Heat started.
