It’s because there is absolutely no trust they can translate it to the playoffs for a Finals run. Not saying they can’t, but nobody believes they can and that is somewhat fair based on their playoff track record. Last season was the year - #1 seed, Kawhi gets hurt after game 4 when it’s 2-2, Lakers don’t have AD. Suns/Bucks did what Utah needed to do. All last season people took a wait and prove it stance with Utah in the playoffs and they gave credence to the perception. It doesn’t help that Gobert isn’t as valuable in playoff ball. His inability to switch and defend on the perimeter has killed them multiple times in playoff series.Jazz play a great brand of basketball. A shame nobody really cares for them like that.
The writing was on the wall during preseason:
It's funny how Lakers fans were saying bu-bu-but it's just the preseason when they were losing, yet now they realize those games were actually a lot more reflective of reality than they care to admit.

I also think Mitchell is a weird ass player - way better than detractors can see, but nowhere near the ceiling his supporters imagine. We're going on year 3 of Joe Ingles being their intriguing/wildcard guy. That's an indictment.

And yet those "worst bball takes" seem to be right. Funny that, ain't it.Please stop quoting me. You have some of the worst bball takes on this site.

Kobe already told y’all about curry lolCurry is the second coming of Kobe. Not in terms of play style but the effect he has on crowds whether at home or on the road.
There's a different level of buzz and excitement when each gets going and nobody else comes close when it comes to turning the opposing crowd out.
I hope you didn't listen to me and put a lil sum sum on him.Good looks, what are your thoughts on Draymond for DPOY btw

Nah when I quoted you I had already put some on him already. He hasn't won in a while and I feel he's been robbed for one b4, so they owe him this one especially if it's as clear cut as it is now.I hope you didn't listen to me and put a lil sum sum on him.
Edit: Dray is still at around +2100 for DPOY. Get on, my g.

Do y'all think the Lakers would be winning these games if they had Hield instead of Westbrook?I agree with you but the Lakers have manifested players out of nothing before and they can do it again, so I have no idea.
They almost got Buddy Hield out of KCP and Kuzma who are both literally garbage so I don't put it past them at all.
