he's inconsistent because that toronto offense is bullshyt. sometimes a guy is legit held back by a system... that fredrunincircles offense while everyone else gets ready to mob the boards shyt belongs in college ball or something.
im not ready to say nurse ain't coaching shyt, but the stagnation there is plain for anyone to see. put him in Denver or something and you'd see his type of skillset pop immediately
Hes not held back hes an elite 3&D player but thats all he is....if you have him higher than 4th in the pecking order ur not winning shyt...hes 2nd last in the league in points off post ups,his game is too inconsistent outside of corner 3s...like i said when hes hitting them he will skewer ur opinion of his game...
You cannot run setplays thru him in iso or halfcourt regularly he doesnt have the bag....in Denver he'd still be the 4th guy.Other reason you cant move him up in the hierarchy is hes too injury prone....
You dont watch him and i watch him everynight for 4 years i think i trust my own opinion on this one....

again, who else is moving that ball around in toronto's offense? they're limited because fred is limited. and that roster doesn't allow for much else.
they can't even utilize the baseline like that because all their wings have to treat it like their signal to throw something on the board hoping for the offensive rebound. their whole offense is a flowchart lol... if there's no efficient look, whoever has the ball just throws shyt up and all those wings get ready to maul out on the glass.
them playing slow as hell and being a top 3 team on the offensive glass just makes that more obvious too if you want to lean into the stats
Just going off the eyeball test it seems like Durant hasn’t had this many catch and shoot 3 opportunities since he played on the Warriors. Russ created a lot for him too. When he was in Brooklyn it was a lot more pull-upsSuns looking like that

Yep. This is the easiest it’s been for him since gsw, similar dynamic with him and book that he had with Steph. He doesn’t necessarily need to be the driving force on the team, or even be overly aggressive. He can pick his spots and simply play off the easy looks he gets from Chris or take advantage of matchups. Undefeated with him right now.
