again, who else is moving that ball around in toronto's offense? they're limited because fred is limited. and that roster doesn't allow for much else.

they can't even utilize the baseline like that because all their wings have to treat it like their signal to throw something on the board hoping for the offensive rebound. their whole offense is a flowchart lol... if there's no efficient look, whoever has the ball just throws shyt up and all those wings get ready to maul out on the glass.

them playing slow as hell and being a top 3 team on the offensive glass just makes that more obvious too if you want to lean into the stats

Fred,Siakam and Scottie handle those duties and they are the only ones on the team that can...offense isnt great but it wont get better with more Anunoby usage....he can barely dribble the ball and run a straight line.Not only is his bag very limited outside of just bulldozin smaller players but he doesnt have the natural fluidity and coordination at the 3 with the ball in his hands to be a more dominant offensive player.....Any team with him at 25-30 % usage isnt going to be a winning team....ive seen him try to be PG a million times he doesnt have it in him....

Hes a 3 & D guy an elite id say maybe the best or 2nd best in the league but ur gonna be sorry if you overpay him and make him a focal point offensively.

okay, who else on toronto is actually decent at initiating offense besides fred - who's not even a natural PG?

saying a guy would benefit from playing with a better group of playmakers, and not a single combo guard, ain't some wild stretch man. never once said anything about a focal point of an offense or even that he needs to initiate more. in fact, the first team i bought up was denver.

Yep. This is the easiest it’s been for him since gsw, similar dynamic with him and book that he had with Steph. He doesn’t necessarily need to be the driving force on the team, or even be overly aggressive. He can pick his spots and simply play off the easy looks he gets from Chris or take advantage of matchups. Undefeated with him right now.

Yep, and you can tell guys are still trying not to step on toes.
