Goes back to what I've always believed:

Disney loves the NBA. ABC is just tethered to ESPN. If they were standalone companies, ABC wouldn't really want the NBA and they've proven that so many times since Disney made the merger.

No league is fixated with prime time more than the NBA, not even the NFL.

EDIT: this article really assumes that after an NBA game I was gonna leave the channel where it was and not care that Ryan Seacrest was introducing a white guy with a guitar try to sing a random ass song.
