ESPN's basketball coverage is so horrible and seems designed to put the dumbest people in the analysts positions.

It shows you how the execs feel and think about the people who watch it and played it. Their coverage has gone from just being uninformed about the nuances of the game, to utilizing and relying on caricatures and stereotypes. Disney went from making these

They just have to find the right balance. They're on to something with that insight broadcast with Legs.

Curry does this a lot, we still got a few but most elite shooters nowadays dont prioritize offball movement. Idk if that is on the players or coaching.
I’d say a little of both. A lot of coaches play calling is weak & very much follows the pick/roll trend.

Running around like that requires a lot of energy. Not every shooter is anywhere near in shape to do it.

It’s crazy, but I think A.I.’s game has become a little underrated over time. His fundamentals were so elite. The quickness, anticipation, footwork, side to side movement, start stop, change of direction were all god tier.

The casual fan thinks his career is just 2001. Truth is he got better and more refined AFTER the MVP. He did a lot of damage from 03’-06’ and then his underrated Denver years.
