It’s crazy, but I think A.I.’s game has become a little underrated over time. His fundamentals were so elite. The quickness, anticipation, footwork, side to side movement, start stop, change of direction were all god tier.

The casual fan thinks his career is just 2001. Truth is he got better and more refined AFTER the MVP. He did a lot of damage from 03’-06’ and then his underrated Denver years.

100% factual

This was his peak imo in 06. No wasted motions, sharp and surgical. On top of that his jumper was better than ever.

For a guy that didn’t practice he sure as shyt managed to fine tune his game.

That's what I hate about analytics and some of the stat nerds. He gets knocked for inefficiency and all that and the stat nerds act like he is overrated. AI for most of his career played with no other shooters or any real offensive threats outside of Stackhouse is first year and then Korver a little later yet was still doing work. Imagine him in a 5 out offense where you're forced to guard him one on one or give up open 3s. He'd murder. Hardly anybody could stop his first step. Add in his dribbling skills and he's killing it in the modern era.

I'm still of the belief the NBA needs to adjust its calendar to take advantage of having only baseball to compete with during the summer months. You got kids off from school. In large parts of the country the summer time is the "it's too damn hot to be going anywhere so I'm staying in" type of weather. Sporting news shows are dead with nothing to talk about since NFL free agency and draft is done with. Nobody cares about the start of the season as is with the NFL and college football going strong.
Tradition is really the only reason I can think of for them still having as is. There's legit nothing happening whatsoever rn outside of the NBA from my purview

players want the summer off, their kids are off during the summer, they want to be able to go on vacations with them. They would be the first to dead it.

It’s a Shame what happened to Oladipo

He’s career is going to be completely forgotten and it’s messed up because he was really one of the most athletic and dynamic guards the league has ever seen

aside from Jordan/Iverson/Wade I don’t remember a guard with that kind of speed and athleticism. And once he got to Indiana he put it all together and became a top 10-15 all nba type player

Ironically it was OKC that shipped him to the Pacers. Imagine Prime Oladipo on this Pacers squad :whoo:

Would basically be Mathurin if he reached his Ceiling…
