DeMar needs a team that can cater around his strength. Unfortunately tho he isn't good enough to lead a team anywhere anymore. Tough situation
I mentioned it before, but he’d help his cause as a 6th man running the 2nd unit as a lot of teams including contenders could use the scoring off the bench.

I don’t blame him for still thinking he’s a starter though if teams still view him that way.

Regarding DeMar, the obvious is obvious. The Raptors were an elite regular season that couldn’t get over the hump in the playoffs, traded him and won a title. The Spurs were a 10 seed, traded him and were still a 10 seed. The Bulls were a 9 seed, traded him and are currently the 9 seed.

He gets his numbers and has the accolades but he’s not really a needle mover like that and never really has been throughout his career. So it’s not really all that surprising that swapping Harrison Barnes for him was a lateral move

The Kings ceiling has always depended on Keegan Murray’s development bc Fox & Sabonis are what they are, and 3 years in he’s not really looking like he’ll be more than a role player. We know how this is gonna end, the question is how long will Sac take before pulling the trigger

What the hell is going on in Sac? Is the beam out of batteries :picard:
Demar would've been a perfect player to be a 2nd unit's scorer. Those teams that have 2 stars like a Dallas where they could get away with resting Luka and Kyrie together at times. I'd even like Demar on the Twolves.

I honestly think if Keegan took that next leap he was supposed to, Sacramento wouldn't have even went after Demar.

He was never good to lead his team anywhere. His best year was 2016 and it turns out Kyle Lowry was the better player all this time, cause he could actually co-exist with other star players and win in the playoffs.

Sacramento's roster construction is arguably their biggest problem. Way too many guards.
Keegan Murray is the only legit wing they have.
