It's crazy how bad the spurs have been for the last 5 years. B2B losses againt the pelicans

they are legit devoid of talent. Like these nikkas have no fundamentals. Cant really defend consistently, no boxing out, no positional awareness, nothing.

Pop ain't coaching em up the way he used to. Losing his top assistants hasn't helped either.

yeah the suns missed some free throws down the stretch but coach bud is still an idiot for not fouling up 4 with less than 16 seconds left. even if you only hit 1 of your first 2 you foul again up 3 or force them to take a wild 3 knowing you intend to foul.

they've lost everything

slowly, all their competent employees have been poached. even their shooting coach is in OKC. Their assistant coaches all suck, they wasted draft picks for most of this decade before wemby and castle. The last good player they drafted before Victor is prolly Derrick White from 7 years ago. Their "long-term" plans are in doubt because their 76 year old head coach had a stroke (the nikka is 76, how do they not have a contingency plan?)

Duncan was the system. Should have never been a question but it's crystal clear now.

tonight vs MEM is what I’m talking about when I said a younger KD wouldn’t change shyt for this flawed Phoenix team

They put up 148 points… but gave up 151… aka they’re 27th ranked on defense* and it shows. And that last inbounds pass was irrational, down 3 but throwing it to KD at the freethrow line.

*it’s actually what we saw the first few months in BK when it was him and Kyrie… a lot of scoring, no defense, and a .500 record

They were still good after Duncan left. shyt, they won 61 games and made it to the conf finals in 2017

Kawhi played like 8 games in 2018 and they won 47 games. Easily could've won at least 8 or 9 more if he didnt have 1 foot out the organization

but since 2018, they've been hella questionable. I remember the lineups Pop was throwing out against the nuggets in 2019. And since then, it's been a shytshow.

think about it like this: the Pistons and Spurs' last playoff appearance was 2019. As much grief as the Pistons got (especially last season), they made it back before the Spurs.

OKC got a young team and are way better, Memphis is better, the rockets turned it around after losing harden. The spurs just dont have talent.
