Who ran the offense for the last 15 title winners?

OKC - 30ppg superstar
BOS - conventional pg (sort of/not really)
DEN - 30ppg superstar
GSW - Draymond
MIL - 30ppg superstar
LAL - 30ppg superstar
TOR - conventional pg (sort of)
GSW - Draymond
GSW - Draymond
CLE - 30ppg superstar
SAS - conventional pg (sort of)
MIA - 30ppg superstar
MIA - 30ppg superstar
DAL - conventional pg
LAL - Triangle offense
LAL - Triangle offense

I mentioned it ad nauseam with LAC years back when they went through 10 different pgs in 3-years and still couldn't do shyt with their offense:

Either your coach implements a system that requires an elevated collective IQ (or collective stubbornness, in the case of BOS spamming drive n kick 3s) or you get one of those heliocentric scoring muthafukkas. But that whole traditional pg holding the ball and setting everything up... yea you ain't winning with that shyt. That shyt few and far between.

Our best bet is if we can replicate what the '19 Raptors had with KD as our Kawhi, Amen as Siakam, Sengun as Gasol (offensively), Fred as Lowry, and Sheppard as Fred. And a lot of that shyt was still "give Kawhi the ball and fukk out the way"

What an offensive collapse from HOU :picard:
1 of their first 31 games they scored less than 108 points. 7 of their last 14 they've scored less than 108 points. some really bad 4th quarters in that stretch, -14 vs sas, -18 vs okc, -11 vs sac, -19 vs por. to be fair they have had some dominant 4th quarters too and they had won 5 out of 6 before the collapse vs the spurs. team just seems so hot and cold.

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio
Spurs/Rockets game changed when 1. Spurs stopped respecting Amen's jumper and 2. when they decided to stop complaining about Houston's physicality and decided to match it. Castle and Keldon Johnson are strong as hell. Sengun couldn't debo his way to the paint against Keldon (Keldon threw his shoulder/elbow right back into him). We saw Castle hounding KD. Offensively, they started to understand the assignment (attack Reed whenever possible, although to his credit, Reed had 3 possessions in a row where he disrupted some possessions defensively).

Biggest issue. They stuck Wemby on Amen, dared him to shoot and it allowed Wemby to play free safety on defense.

I love the Spurs team. They were right not making a splash trade for KD or Giannis as well.

Harper is going to be extremely good. Castle is a dog, and they have the makeup of a team that can be together and grow for a while. Essentially what OKC did. OKC isn't going to really go on some run with the Spurs already ascending this quickly. With how great Wemby is and their defense overall, they are legit right now.

The firepower they have on the perimeter is not even fair. Dylan Harper checking in for Fox is some real wtf type shyt

Thank god the Spurs didn’t listen to the Coli GMs who swore they needed to salary dump Fox bc having him, Castle and Harper wasn’t a good thing

Ppl starting to see what I say about Amen yeah he has numbers but he’s about a max player currently. If . He can be ignored on offfense. I don’t care what any basketball fan or Rockets fan says, dude is not a max player. He can’t run an offense, he can’t stop the offense from bleeding, and he lacks a bag. San Antonio did exactly what Denver did to Houston when they crushed them. They threw Jokic on him and clamped Houston. The reason we beat Denver and San Antonio was because Reed showed up and put on for the Rockets. When the opps have to actually pay attention to another scorer outside of Kd and sengun, Houston is at its best. Unfortunately Reed is consistently at that level of being that threat all game. I won’t say never because he’s still young but I don’t think Amen will ever have that respectable perimter shot that all these analysts keep saying will make him unstoppable once he develops it.

Anthony black has developed more than Amen on offense. His jumper ain’t that great either but he has more of a bag than Amen. He can get downhill more easily than Amen because he has a stronger driver/handles.

Ppl bring up the Boston game-winner to defende Amen but if you watch the play he caught Boston inthe middle of a defensive breakdown which cause Jalen Brown to get off balance. If Brown is actually able to square up properly against Amen, that’s a negative possession for Houston because Amen ain’t beating squared up solid defender like Jalen Brown off the dribble in iso for a bucket. Not in a halfcourt offense setting where the defense is set
