I agree fully on Amen, media and fans crowned him so early..I never really saw it because the guy was a negative shooter for the most part, not a scorer either. I didn't really get all this praise for him. He's an elite athlete but that's as far as it goes right now. Guys like him need a good PG to get him easy looks on offense
I get it - if he ever figures out his shot he's gonna be an All-NBA level guy... problem is Rockets wanna compete right now and he's just a complete liability outside of the restricted area offensively. The numbers are atrocious - he can't make a shot further away than 8 feet from the rim

@Rigby. :blessed:
Cardwell has definitely earned this deal.
Been one of the few bright spots for the Kings this season.

Yeah I can’t stand watching Sac basketball but bro been valid from what I’ve seen. I think he’ll be an easy 5-7 year player as long as he doesn’t have a serious injury come up

Sengun can bounce this off-season if he wants to continue playing bytch ball.

Amen is still serviceable.

Sadly, we're facing multi-faceted problems magnified bc we're trying to "win now" with 23-year olds.

i.e. as much as there needs to be a conversation about Ime not coaching shyt, we've also witnessed Nick Nurse, Joe Mazzulla, Mike Malone, etc., not coach shyt, embarrass themselves, but still win bc they had better (or just more) top tier talent than the opps.

As it stands, KD is doing as much as one can expect for his age; exceeding expectations if anything. But Sengun is just inefficient. A back-to-the-basket finesse big that shoots below 50% from the field, below 30% from three, below 70% from freethrow, and a 6:3 assist:turnover ratio... that's not gonna get it done.

But he's also 23. Same with Amen, who's just a taller Tony Allen without the trap house vibes. I mentioned last year that us overachieving would be a double-edged sword moving forward.
