Amazon Prime and NBC have so far been off to a good start, but one station I'm concerned with is Peacock. I feel like, for most NBA fans, that will be the least viewed network due to lack of accessibility, similar to that of the NFL whenever they broadcast games on Peacock.

I mean, most people have an Amazon account, and it's pretty easy for those who don't to continuously sign up for 30-day free trials, and NBC, as well as ABC, is local TV, so that ain't no problem, but Peacock charges you right out the gate.

Ain't no free trials or nothing, and their service is pretty weak, so it doesn't justify someone purchasing a monthly or yearly subscription. I think the NBA should have it where if a game is on Peacock it should also be on NBC as well, permanently, especially if it's the same broadcast team.
peacock is a pretty good service for sports. They have NFL sunday night, the olympics (ELITE coverage), Big Ten CFB games, Premier League, Nascar (not for me but just sayin), WWE, Tennis (Wimbledon and US Open), and niche stuff like Rugby and Track and field and horse racing and shyt.

And broadcast quality is elite. They're approaching essential for a lot of people. If they get an MLB contract that would be fire.

If the goal is to increase subscriptions onto their streaming service (which it is) there's absolutely no incentive to do this. Furthermore, the extra time slots aren't available.

i don't mind a streaming service as an alternative weekday platform, at all. Pistons cavs week 1 is a 480p local tv broadcast 99% of the time.

My only thing is it doesn't really look like I'm going to be too interested in anything else they offer. I'll have to browse their inventory later (but my subscription did come with Apple TV which I rock with).

I might do that. I did it through my cable company last year and I couldn't watch games when I was traveling.
Even with a cable account you can create an NBA.ID or whatever they call it and still watch through the NBA app. When it has you sign in just choose to sign in through your provider.

I only had Peacock for 2 reasons:

1. worth it for Olympic multiview

2. Bel Air and that has 1 season left. I woulda bushed it had it not been for this deal with the NBA. Luckily Apple TV and Peacock did a merger where I don't have to pay for both separately anymore.
