I feel like i'm in the twilight zone the way people are quick to kill fox when the team wouldn't even be in the position to win the game w/o him

Gift and curse to play with a name like Wemby, anything his teammates do gets magnified x100, I don't even think the last possession was his fault, Wemby ran straight to the rim and was not involved at all, that is on the coach, not the player. People have been questioning Fox before he even played because of Dylan Harper so the noise is not going to stop anytime soon for him. Like I said, terrible position to be in for him.

It's not even on Fox. nikkas will watch Kornet, Keldon, Sochan, and Vassell set minutes on fire and sit there and blame Fox for every little mistake. We get it, the Spurs didn't draft Fox, but that doesnt mean he's the whipping boy. He's probably their best non-draft signee since Lamarcus a decade ago.

It's crazy. They've gotten ZERO production of of their entire 2021 and 2022 Draft selections (that's 6 selections total, 4 first rounders (2 lottery picks: Sochan and Primo) and 2 second rounders), and will pile on Fox like he's not the 2nd best guy on the court. The Spurs GM quietly blew 2 years of draft picks. They were killing fox for his turnovers last game against the Warriors (the one before this) like victor didn't almost have a Quadruple-double with turnovers, like Steph isn't leading the league in turnovers per game.

Fox will be fine. We have an all-star caliber player with victor. Those two i'm not worried about. But the rest of the roster, you know, the guys that were so bad the Spurs were able to draft victor, and then went on an 18-game losing streak the next season? THOSE are the guys im concerned about

Asking a player to make that pass with the game on the line over one of the best defensive players of all time is an awful idea and wishful thinking.

What should have happened was Wemby setting a screen instead of a Castle. Wemby running to the rim and being away from the action didn't make sense but that is what the Spurs coaches went with.

that doesn't make draymond taller or jump higher we already saw what would've happened in this same game

Fox didn't need a screen to begin with, warriors had no one out there who could stop wemby from gettin a good look had he just gotten the ball, Draymond had 5 fouls already, you don't need to do the whole PnR dance to attack him in that moment

Before that Fox contract, Vassell's contract was greater than any contract they've given a Spurs player (morethan Duncan, Kawhi, Parker, Ginobili and DRob), and check his shooting splits this season. Crickets. But let fox turn the ball over and everyone is acting like he killed someone.

That hate is amplified because they think Fox is gonna stunt Dylan Harper's development in the long run. Give me a break. Spurs fans wanna be in a perpetual tank mode, where they get lottery guys but can't make the playoffs. This franchise would churn out 55-win seasons in the toughest version of the Western Conference in its sleep in the past. Now we're talking about getting lottery picks every year because the guys they draft can't help them win.

Jeremy Sochan has more fans than Fox in san antonio, and that nikka is barely in the rotation. And this isn't a "Keon ellis in Sacramento" kinda thing. Sochan is legitimate trash. and nikkas will defend sochan to the death like he can play, but thumb their noses up at Fox, who is one of the top guards in the West

Wemby was stripped by Draymond and blocked by draymond this game. Not to mention he was 2/10 when draymond defended him on Wednesday's game.

The idea that Wemby would have 100% made the shot is crazy. It's NEVER that simple.

Right now we’re in a 2016 redux with
OKC = ‘16 Warriors (73-9 dominance)
DEN = ‘16 Spurs (67 wins that year)
HOU = ‘16 OKC (“only” 55-wins, but a bruising nightmare playoff matchup)

Shame DET doesn’t have a “Kyrie”, otherwise they’d probably bust through the East like the ‘16 Cavs

Wemby punked him a few times (which he does to everyone), but Dray stopped him from getting into any real sort of rhythm; pressing and not allowing him to get into the paint easily and contested as many shots as physically could. He had an incredible block on Wemby in the 4th and boxed him out perfectly on what could've been the GW.

Walked out of SA with B2B wins too.
